Hi,
I bought a C-serum about a year ago, had bad results, so tried another one... bad results. On the opposite, my eye wrinkles seemed to worsen, so I stopped using the serum.
Just recently I've tried doing my own Vit. C-serum -distilled water, glycerin and L-ascorbic acid-. I've had the same results... only use it on eye skin area and the wrinkles seem to deepen just after three or four days of use!
Can this be some kind of skin allergy?? I'm a smoker and have taken Vit. C internally for years to no event, can't understand why my skin seems to react so badly!!!
Has anyone had this reaction??? Could it be a similar reaction to the copper peptides (never used them)? Should I hang on to see benefits?
TIA. |

What percent of C are you using around your eyes? Sometimes the eye area can't handle a strong C (20%), and needs a lesser strength. |

Vit. C can be a little irritating. Maybe your skin needs to get used to it. Try starting to use it 2 or 3 times a week, wait 30 min. then apply moisturizing cream. |

Thanks rileygirl and bellezza, I'm using 10%, but come to think about it that seems fine for the rest of the skin, it's only around the eyes where it doesn't seem to work well, so probably it's just too strong for there! I hadn't thought about that possibility !!
I'll have another go with lower strength day in day out for the skin to get used to it. For some reason I just assumed that Vit. C was OK and the skin didn't time to adapt!
Thanks again! |
