Calendula extract is also healing and calming, same with hypericum (St Johns Wort).

I have a (body) cream that has Aloe extract as well that is fantastic for scars. I scar very easily and am very happy I found it.

As for the face, the cream is too oily for my skin. I like the lemon juice idea and am going to get back into vitamin C serum and see how that goes for my acne scars.

wow! bravo. thank you, dark moon.

the part about honey and scar removal... i read that you can do a honey mask to hydrate the skin. so if honey is used as a mask, would it hydrate and remove any scars/hyperpigmentation? and would leave it on for 1/2 hr or is the longer the better?
TIA

btw, happy new year, angel!

my experience: I tried honey and aloe, it helps release but not totally remove scars, lemon juice is a little tight for dry skin.
but if you wear honey mask too long,it becomes too tight and may irritate your skin.

I just posted about this on another link, but I'll include it here.

I ambled upon this at the Skin Bio forum that a user had great success using acids combined with Copper Peptides/CPs (from SB) to fill in chicken pox scars. If he had success with that, then the same principles could be applied to other types of scars as well.

He(or she) used a strong BHA - a 12% one (callous/corn remover) to remove most of the scar tissue. After applying some anti-bacterial ointment on it to let it heal a bit, he started applying CPs. He gradually increased in strength the different CPs and also occasionally did another acid peel. He also used a weaker 2% BHA. He had managed to fill in the scars in less than 2 weeks time doing this, and got rid of the hyperpigmentation for a longer period after that.

Read about it here:

For stretch marks - use CPs w/ a dermaroller. There is a separate thread on the dermaroller for stretch marks on EDS. I'm not sure what topicals everyone uses, tho. CPs are great for rebuilding skin, tho.

hey funky,
i haven't tried this oil but i asked a shopper's drug mart cosmetics rep and she said it works. i'm not sure if i believe her.

but this would be a great new thread. i know there are many members that would be interested in this.

Do a search on Bio oil

You might find a lot of info out there.

The search button is at the top of every page
