Does anyone know the application order of using Retin A and camellia oil at the same time? Thanks!  |

| From what I've read and been told by my derm, any moisturizer you want to use should be put on BEFORE the Retin A. Also you'll want to give the moisturizer plenty enough time (30 mins or more) to completely sink in as the skin is supposed to be completely dry before application of Retin A. After application, no other substance should be used that may dilute or chemically inactivate the drug. |

| I have never heard that??? I heard Retin A type products first, give them 30 minutes to sink in and then add moisturizers. |

My derm told me that with Renova you could use a moisturizer 30 mins or so later, but not with Tazorac or Retin-A.
Here's a link that says not to use moisturizer at night with Retin-A (only in the morning after), so I guess the views on this are different.

Also I read that you have to be careful when you're using 'carrier oils' like emu and camellia oil with other active products because they make them penetrate the skin more effectively. This might make Retin A too strong for your skin, after all it does act as an irritant - you don't want your skin too irritated.
So perhaps you should test a little area first if you want to use it in combination.
