I have searched the posts today and give up. I also posted on DIY and might have been wrong place. SORRY! Can anyone suggest to me the best way to use these products together in my skincare regimen? For instance, would it be a problem to use estrogeon mixed with retin a? Presently I use them on alternating days in the pm but I would like to use both everyday. I use Vit C serum in the am & then in the pm I use CP after the retin a, but before the estrogen. I dimly remember reading that the ph balances of each can cancel out the effectiveness if used wrong, so the order is important. Based on that they (E & R-A) can't
be used together but I'm not sure. I'm hoping someone might be able to help or tell me where to go for info. Btw my skin is fairly resilient. Thanks so much!! |

I have no experience using estrogen in skincare. I would suggest speaking with the dermatologist who prescribed retin a for you. S/he would know your skin and what it can take. However, off the top of my head I would thnk the two of them could be used together as estrogen, and other hormone creams, are not acidic or exfoliating. Perhaps try putting retin a on first, waiting 20 mins for full absorption and then topping with the estrogen cream. But like I said I have no experience with this and the derm would be your best advice. |
