Hello,
Have any of you ever tried to integrate a product called Tripeptide-5 into your DIY serums or creams?
I couldn't find any recipes with this ingredient in a forum search, but makingcosmetics .com describes it as follows:
"Potent stimulation of collagen synthesis in the skin, actively irons out any type of wrinkle, good skin firming & moisturizing properties, able to repair stretch marks, clinically proven to be effective & safe (study with 60 volunteers showed 350% wrinkle reduction after 84 days treatment). Good alternate to collagen injections."
It sounds pretty interesting, but I can't find much info about it so was curious as to whether anyone has had experience with it, and whether it is a good idea to mix it into a DIY recipe such as a C serum.
Thanks for any info!

You might be able to find more info under its tradename SYN-Coll. In the meantime, here's a link to its product sheet in case it is helpful:
ETA: Here also is one of Alley's posts that talks about how she is using SYN-COLL in her DIY products:

I found a recipe on makingcosmetics website for an "extreme hydrating and firming eye gel" that uses this. I can't post links yet, but it is in the recipe section. I am almost out of eye cream & I am thinking about ordering the ingredients to make this eye cream. I have Syn Coll already as I have used it before, I purchased from Platinum Skin Care & I like it. I like the ingredients in this recipe I found, but I want to add some grapeseed oil possibly. Also I am trying to figure out if I can substitute some Sea Mollient I got from GoW, or SKB for the SkinTight AP the recipe calls for. Does anyone here know how these ingredients compare? They appear to be somewhat the same to me.
Hugs,

HI Sexi- In many discussions I have read, most people substitute the GOW seamollient for the Skinactives SKB - they are very similar but the GOW seamollient is much more reasonably priced.
