Nonie, I respect your depth of knowledge on this (and many subjects). But I do not admire the way you respond to anyone who seems to challenge your position on something. A position that seems contrary is an opportunity for growth, not an opportunity to defend and accuse. Please approach these posts with love. |

Hi, Moonstone.
Like Nonie, I am a very satisfied user of CFF. You can read about my experience further back in this thread, when I'd been doing the exercises for eight months. I am now at the third anniversary and am still seeing improvements, even though I've reached the age of 66.
No-one can predict how another person will respond to facial exercises, so I can only speak for myself when I say that I have never experienced gauntness, bulkiness or awkward stages with CFF. It's been a very smooth ride for me, and Carolyn has always been on hand whenever I've had any questions - and there were a lot at the beginning!
Keep in touch with Carolyn all the way through and you'll give yourself the best possible chance of achieving your goals. I wish you a happy outcome. Keep us updated. |
Hi newera,
Thanks for your kind words of encouragement and I will certainly keep in touch with Carolyn constantly to make sure I'm on the right track.
I'm so happy for you to have nice results with CFF for the past 3 years! It is very inspiring to hear that it is possible to improve our face without going through all those adverse effects!

I beg your pardon jenp7 but clearly we have a failure to communicate. In fact, I actually wrote to three people after the last post because I don't understand what exactly happened for it to have gone so wrong and the three people thus far have assured me that it was just a miscommunication because the poster has never done face exercises so cannot wrap her head around what I was trying to share. I asked people I know would tell me if I were out of order because I was truly baffled and wanted to right the wrong but they didn't see what you saw.
So far, there isn't a post of mine in which I have not written from a point of sincere desire to share and gone to great lengths to spell things out to help people understand something I feel pretty confident about. That I even take the trouble to find links of threads to save people the trouble of seeking the answers themselves, I think, is a clear indication that I do indeed post from a point of love.
I know when someone's hurt it's easy to want to protect them and side with them, but if you would look at my posts objectively, you'd perhaps see that there's nothing I said that was offensive or rude. There's nothing I could change w/o taking away the information contained therein. I just read my posts 3 times trying to see how I could have worded them differently or to see where I was rude, and I can't see any meanness or how else I could have painted a clearer picture. Saying I regret posting was a fact because I do. If others can express their sentiments, why can't I? It is frustrating when you go out of your way to try to help people and then it is thrown back in your face, so yes, I did regret helping. And if that's what you're referring to, oh well. *shrug*
Otherwise, nothing in my posts was written with any malice nor do I have a problem with debate or people having a contrary opinion to me. And if you'd been paying attention, you'd realize that I have had to put up with a lot of personal attacks just because I have a difference of opinion, not the other way around. And I am not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. Actually, come to think of it, I haven't seen many people admit when they are proven wrong in these discussions, so WTH are you talking about? |

Moving along...doesn't Carolyn look AMAZING in the new Youtube video demonstrating The Brush?
Check it out: Double Chin and Neck Lines Eradicator
I watched the Crows' Feet exercise clip after seeing this new one and it's as if time has stopped for Carolyn! She was 59 years old when she made the Crows' Feet video. It's about 6 years later and she hasn't aged a bit(!) but has the same face she had 6 years ago--a very good testament to how well her program works, and quite the inspiration for those of us doing her program. |

Thank you for posting the link to the Brush exercise, Nonie!
I've been doing CFF for almost 15 months and I love it! I do incorporate Maggio's rocking exercise for the chin/neck, so the Brush is going to be a wonderful addition. |

Hi, Nonie. I do respect your contributions and value you in this online community. You oftentimes seem very interested in helping others, and I think this is great. You and I have even PMd before, and it was your story that inspired me to try CFF. It just seems like sometimes the language you use comes across somewhat defensively and a little inflammed instead of loving and accepting. (I'm referring to across the EDS forum board, not necessarily just this discussion topic.) I thought I would just mention it so maybe we could all stay focused on acceptance and love as we help each other. And this is particularly hard to do with online communication: it is the mode of communication most likely to be misinterpreted.
On another note, I agree Carolyn does look great. I appreciate the new video and look forward to the newsletter. |

jenp7, I still don't know what you're talking about so I'm just going to ignore your comments since they aren't helping me nor are they adding anything to the discussion at hand. I especially find your posts disruptive because if you do know that communication online is hard and misinterpretations can occur (you just said so yourself) why not take my word for it that I meant no harm and consider it a misunderstanding and just let it go jenp7? Your harping on about something that I don't understand (and that others don't see) isn't going to make me change anything coz I can't change what I don't know, so can we move on please? Perhaps I'm just clumsy at expressing myself and not as eloquent as you'd prefer so consider it a handicap and cut me some slack.
JenJ, I too am excited about and look forward to the Face Firmer video!
Moonstone, you're welcome. |

Nonie,
I don't know if you are aware of this but your tone is negative when you use language like like "ignore...disruptive...harping..." makes your posts come across as negative. It's like you're accusing Jenp7 of being a disruptive and mean person when she made a single, very simple request that you use a less negative tone.
wrote: |

Um, actually, you've been told this a few times, even if you choose to pretend that several people have not complained about your tone towards others.
I really think that if you just practice using positive or neutral words, that alone would make a big difference in how you come across to others.
By the way, Jenp7 was far nicer and more respectful to you than you were to her, and I'm sure that others see can this. |

Does anyone else read the CFFitness review pages on CFF site? I find them so inspiring and encouraging. You don't realize how many people do face exercises until you start reading those pages, which I thought were only ten but they go up to page 28!!!
What I love most about them is the updates that echo what the before/after photos show: continued improvement or maintenance of results. Sometimes I just got through the pages looking for updates.... |

Sorry, I don't want my post to be misconstrued.
I'm just saying (a) that some people do perceive you to have a negative tone when challenged (this is at least the fourth person who pointed it out in recent memory), and (b) it's possible to speak in a nicer way and to remove the unnecessarily negative words from one's speech.
I don't think people would be speaking up if it didn't seriously bother them and if they didn't think that resolving the issue would make everyone happier overall.
And btw, I do think that you are a good speaker--whether you want to call that eloquence or not. I think the issue is just the word choice towards using lots of words with overtly negative connotation directed towards a particular person is the issue. Because you do write lovely and encouraging posts and use smileys lots of other times |

Today is the very first day I start the full program as I just received the CFF kit in the mail today!!!
Overall, the exercises are gentler than the resistance programs I used to do. The instructions are very clear which make it quite easy to understand and learn. Btw, Carolyn has a very nice and sweet voice which is very soothing and relaxing just to listen to... My face feels wonderful doing the exercise and I notice the face has a lovely glow afterward! Love it!
As Carolyn recommends me to do the full program only twice a week, it may take some time before I notice some significant improvements! But I do have a good feeling that the program will work for me. |

Hi again, Moonstone!
I feel your excitement at receiving your package at last! It was the same for me. I'm glad you enjoyed your first day of exercising. I still enjoy it as much as ever after three years, and miss it on my 'days off.' I even take the flash cards away with me on holiday, although I should know them off-by-heart by now!
Be patient and consistent, and keep in touch with Carolyn all the way through. She's a great communicator. I wish you every success in reaching your goals. Keep us updated. |

I'm excited for you too, Moonstone. And for what it's worth, I believe the results that take their time to come are the ones that last. "Easy come, easy go"...so don't worry if the pace seems slow. Think of it as a new lifestyle and it becomes second nature where you don't even seem to remember why you do it. And someday when you've long forgotten what it is you were working toward, you'll wake up to find you already reach goals you only used to dream of.
Newera, you and I are so on the same page. I still feel like I just had a wonderful facial at the end of a workout. |

Nonie, Newera, thanks again for your kind words of encouragement as well as being so supportive! Nonie, I really admire your persistence of doing facial exercises for the past 20 years with such wonderful results and didn't give up even when you encountered negative outcomes with the other program. Both of you are great inspirations for me to start the CFF journey. I actually quite like the gentle and gradual approach of the system. Will be doing the exercises patiently and faithfully and hopefully that "slow and steady wins the race"... |

I'm getting real tempted by these posts. (I've got over 100 exercise vides/DVD's so I'm not a hard sell Wink) I wish I could see a sample stream of these videos though, so I know if I can stomach the whole thing. I went to collage video (I go there a lot) and they did have a couple programs I could at least see a sample of. Here they are: |

Wow! shanmarsh1 that is quite a collection. Is there a reason you feel a need for a new program? Haven't any of the ones you have given you the results you want, or could it be that because you have so many, you haven't been able to give each enough time to make a difference? I don't know if seeing a sample of the program can really tell you if it's the program for you, but you can see some exercises on the Sample Exercises page on the CFF site.
BTW, your link of collage videos did not show up because you have to have a certain number of posts on the forum before you can post links. But I do know what you mean. I've seen Judith Olivia's clips on collagevideo.com
One thing that got me to pick CFF was the progress photos, not just one before and one after showing just a few months of progress, but the updates that show the cumulative results after months of doing the program. I have seen in a different program a 2-month improvement shown in the before after pics but then things go south after that...so for me seeing ongoing improvement was reassuring. I particularly love Carolyn's photos: she started off with a normal face that was showing signs of aging and you can see how it improved over time till now it's almost at a standstill since she has looked the same for the last 6 years! She still looks very much like herself only with a beautiful shape and tone now. Also the CFF website has so much info on what you're getting yourself into that you make an informed decision on whether that's the program for you, instead of just trusting a good sales' pitch.
Otherwise, shanmarsh1 you may just be like I used to be when it came to information. I wanted to know everything and would buy books and magazines as if going out of style. I would never get to look at all of them and the hoarding started to get out of control. I had to meditate on the fact that I can't possibly know EVERYTHING and that it is OK not to know EVERYTHING. After all, there are only so many hours in a day and if I can be selective about what I put in my head, then I can afford to master something and be good at it. The stuff I don't know I can always learn from another who happens to have mastered that, and thus together we can complement each other. If I bit more than I could chew, I'd choke and end up dissatisfied and frustrated. Oh and another thing that has helped me not get sucked into buying something I may not need is ignoring any raves/ads about something that is supposed to do what I am already able to do without it. If what I have and know is not hurting me, no point in taking a chance by getting what I don't have or know and most likely don't need, yanno?
Anyway, I hope whatever you decide you'll be happy with your decision. |

I've been doing this "Brush" exercise since Nonie posted the link to the video. I do it once or twice a day for several minutes and my throat/jawline/neck area become quite red from the stimulation but the results are fantastic! My jawline has become very defined, the underchin area has tightened up to the point where I no longer have that little waddle and the faint rings around my neck are just about gone. So if anyone has issue with their chin/jawline/throat area, I'd definitely incorporate this "Brushing" move...it works!! |

The only similarities I see is the part of fingers being used and the fact that moisturizer is applied first.
Differences:
-Tanya does it on the face, Carolyn does it on the neck;
-Tanya's method is similar to how one might apply moisturizer (face is relaxed), Carolyn's program NEVER has you slide fingers over your skin unless the muscles underneath are flexed or held taut;
-Tanya's method involves making circular motions; Carolyn's has up and down movements.
JenJ, sister sweets, I too love The Brush. I always feel as if I walk with my head held high after I do it. |

I'd love to know how/why Carolyn developed the Brush and the other new things she's worked/working on. I see the similarities of using the knuckles on the skin, to stimulate and tone it. Tonya calls hers the natural face lift, and it definitely does work I've seen it on my own face, and so it makes sense to me about applying it to the neck. Also I think Tonya, like Carolyn is a natural beauty, and its wonderful to see these examples. Do we know if this is from a new dvd that Carolyn is creating or selling yet? |
