Retin A 0.01%
Have any of you ladies used this? If yes, what was your experience with it? Did you see any results?

Hi Jag nice to meet you. Have not used .01, have used .1 (for years) and did see results (smoothing of fine lines) with that.

Where would you buy .01?

I have used it and continue to use the microgel form of 0.1% (I'm guessing this is what you mean rather than 0.01%).

There are some discussions though that you can get the same benefits from 0.05%. I'm not too clued up on them, but there was mention of it a little while ago on a thread here somewhere so you might want to search.

I have been using Retin-A 0.01% and I've seen results with it, softening of lines, evening of skin tone, smaller pores & more refined skin texture.

I'm going to the next strength higher now but the 0.01% (the lowest strength) I feel was a good way to start because I had very little skin irritation and was able to quickly use it every night. HTH

Contains .15% Retinol.

AFIRM features a revolutionary skin care technology called the MICROSPONGE system, which protects the delicate retinol molecules and allows AFIRM to have a high concentration of retinol, yet be exceptionally gentle on your skin. Designed to minimize the appearance of aging, fine lines, brown spots, and surface roughness.

Brand Retin-A Gel, at .01%, is alcohol based; it is the lowest Retin-A strength. It's recommended for oily skin types and those that have issues with skin congestion. The cream form can cause or aggravate skin congestion.

Is this for acne or anti-aging?

For anti-aging, it is a good place to start, if you can handle the dryness that may result from the large amount of alcohol contained in it. Also, this form tends to ball up or flake off, if one applies too much.

Even at 0.01% I've met very few people who tolerate the gel. Most tend to favour the cream. The gel seems to be iritating for most people (including oily skinned people - which I myself am one).

The microgel, which comes in at a higher strength is 0.1%, which is a little too high to begin with. Most people start with cream at 0.5%.

Of course as Retin A is prescription, its worth discussing with your derm before you use anything.
