Hi, Does anyone have any New Year beauty resolutions? I have been thinking, and will try to incorporate at least two:
My supplement drink in the morning (for skin, tastes awful);
Lights out at 10:00 p.m.
Anyone else? |

My new years resolution is.... to stop putting so many products on my skin!!
My skin, right now, is not functioning. I used to have fantastic skin but product after product for the last 3 years has really affected it...for the worst.
SO! Here goes...
No. 1: I am going to stop buying expensive creams (I'm looking at you La Mer ). I'm convinved no amount of facial oils and creams will fix this.
No. 2: I'm going to use as little as possible on my skin.
No. 3: Find an alcohol-free sunscreen. Eliminate any products which contain alcohol.
No. 4: Eat as many seeds, nuts and advocado's as I can. Drink more water, and carrying on drinking green tea.
No. 5: Focus on antioxidant protection- Skinceuticals C E fuerlic serum here I come.
No. 6: Cleanse once at night, and then leave my face to cope on its own till the morning- that means no night creams. My skin is way too dependent.
I think some products are great, but my skin is just screaming for a break!
Happy New Year! Hope you have a glowing new year! |

Stop impulse buying, and layering to many products.
Concentrate on using only good actives, hydrators, and sunscreen.
Be more consistant with internal supplements. |

Exercise more and go to bed at a decent hour instead of lurking around on EDS and Facebook. This will be very difficult to do! |

Definitely to start exercising more and to eventually change all skin / body care and makeup to natural products. Happy 2010! |

I am enjoying reading your resolutions and getting some new ideas myself. I hope that you all will post later on how your modified routines worked out for you. |

- exercise more
- get more sleep
- stick with my skin care regimen (I'm using Clinique)
- using sunscreen every time I step out the door |

i hear ya! i read a really interesting thread here on EDS, 302 skincare. you might like it. i thought the underlining principle was fascinating... remove all products till you reach baseline. HTH |

i'm another EDS addict! i'm new but since i've joined i'm been obsessed. there are so many interesting threads and i stay up almost all night readng. each night i feel fatigued, my eyes are bulging and my skin is irritated, and then i'm convinced i need more products to 'fix it all up'.
on the other hand, since joining EDS, there have been some skin improvements, and i'm more enthusiastic and excited about my skincare routine. i think the forum has brought the focus of skincare to forefront of importance. now i have to learn moderation, and get back to incorporating the other things in my life... gym, sleep at 10, moderation in using products, actually meeting up with friends, etc |

This is very true. It is a great site but I find myself staying up till all hours reading threads, and then, the next day - ohhhh. I'm going to have to cut back to a reasonable amount of time on line, with the majority of my research done over the weekend. |

I will proceed just like I am doing now - because this regime is perfect for me now. RA at night, vit C-serum, avocado or hemp oil in the morning with addition of simple Avene moisturiser. My skin is happy
I think that I read somewhere that you are 21?
Sheesh..in that age all my cosmetics were Nivea cream, mascara and lipgloss |
