Hi everybody,
I just found this web-site and I'm so excited to hear that you guys know so much about skin care and all this products.
I'm 33 and really concerned that I'm aging and trying to find the best skin products for myself. I have dry skin (face and body)
I not really familiar with this brands, so pls if somebody has time to guide me a little bit through few of the best brands for face and body.
I've just started the Tanaka massage today and hope that works....................
Thanks a lot

I'm 10 years older than you, but have had dry face and body skin for an awfully long time. The best way I've found of keeping it under control is by regular exfoliation, followed by moisturisation.
For my body, I swear by the Dermalogica Ultimate Buffing Cloth. My review of it is here: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=13444
My favourite body lotion is Kiehls Crème de Corps. However, that it's rather expensive, so my usual product is the gorgeously scented, much cheaper Palmer's Body Lotion.
A foot file is a great way of tackling dry skin on your feet. I love Diamancel's #11, but there are cheaper versions on the market. I follow this up with the wonderful Scholl Intensive Moisturising Cream.
The best exfoliator I've found for my facial skin is Epidermx II. It's a microdermabrasion cream which is very effective indeed. Instead of using it daily, as recommended, I use mine once or twice weekly, rubbing it gently into my skin for a minute, then rinsing off. Here's Liz's review on it and some of the other products in the range: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=18721
There are so many facial moisturisers out there. I love the Neals Yard Remedies Frankincense one, but it is very rich. At night, I use Nia 24 Intensive Recovery Cream - again, it's very rich and helps to make pores look better and skin more even-toned.
Favourite masks are Karin Herzog's Essential Mask - hydrating, fades blemishes and gives your skin a lovely "glow" that is often missing when you have dry skin. I also really liked Living Nature's Manuka Honey mask.
For facial cleansing, I love the simplicity of Karin Herzog's Professional Cleaner - which leaves my face feeling comfortable and very clean, but not tight and stripped. A'kin's Rose & Geranium Creamy Cleanser and Toner In One is also great - fab scent, too.
I keep my eyes and lips well moisturised with Valmont Eye & Lip Contour Cream. It's the only thing I've found that stops my lips becoming chapped during winter. (Actually, there is another Valmont product - the Lip Repair - which works even better, but it works out to be considerably more expensive.) |

I forgot to add that I adore Kiehls Intensive Treatment for Calloused Areas for slathering over my hands, then covering with cotton gloves, to wear in bed at night. Lovely soft hands the next morning!
Also, try and avoid products containing sodium laureth sulfate/sulphate. It can be very drying on skin. Mine has been so much better since I started doing without it. Sadly, many companies use this as a cheap foaming agent, even expensive brands and some of those who have "natural" in the title of their products. Check those labels carefully. Health food shops are great places to shop if you want to find SLS-free products. |

the best way is to read some reviews before you really want to try something. |

Hi Karina
Welcome to EDS.
I also liked Kiehl's body care.Although it is very expensive, but I think it's worth. |

I think which brand of body care production that you use is not very important.
Drinking more water is the most essential way on helping us solve the dryness problem. |
