I have normal-dry (dry in winters) but very acne-prone skin and honestly, all the physical sunscreens I've tried are drying, with varying degrees of course. Has anyone with dry skin successfully used a physical sunscreen, regularly?

I think some on this forum like the physical sunscreen sold by Nanci onwww.ncnproskincare.com. She has 2 versions, one for drier skin and one for oilier skin.
If you want a more established brand, Elta MD Physical SPF41 also has good feedback. It isn't drying and it is skin-friendly (oil-free and paraben-free). It is like a tinted moisturizer (although if you have dry skin, you probably wouldn't be using it as a moisturizer). You can get samples fromwww.lovelyskin.com. |

Hey thanks for your response. I do have the Elta spf41 and love it, but I find it a little drying as well. I'll check out the Nanci one, thank you! |

I've been using Dermaquest's SPF30 with zinclear and I love it. I think it would be good for dry skin, it's moisturizing but not oily and contains anti-aging ingredients. |

Try an oil free makeup powder! There are so many out there with physical SPF in it like jane iredale, pur minerals, etc. Great thing about a powder with spf is that you can be reapplying during the day. It will also help cover some blemishes if you use a powder with good coverage like the pur minerals. |

Azur Sunscreen for Face and Body SPF 30 or 40.
Very hydrating. Has never felt drying on nor dried my skin in the least. |

Mustela make a spray and cream sunscreen for babies that contains zinc oxide and Tinosorb (no avobenzone, octinoxate, octocrylene). I've tried the spray version. It's good. Not drying. Has some white cast but it dissipates after a while (I'm very fair though). Although it's not a pure physical sunscreen, it might be worth considering because the texture is not as heavy and pasty as the high zinc oxide sunscreens.www.tubotica.com has it and ships internationally. |
