londongirl, I think most places recommend stopping the retin a for a few days before the peel. After the peel, when your skin is healed, you start the retin a back up again (probably just a few days if you aren't using a strong peel). Have you just started retin a? If you have, I would wait at least a month (if not more) before you start the glycolic peels, just so you know how your skin reacts to retin a. |

How strong will your peel be?
I use weak acids with my retin A, but haven't done a peel in a while. I should clarify, I would use my acid during the day or in the morning, and the retin A at night. The acids are only about 10% but I find I have to be very careful about my neck.
When I went to my derm for a TCA peel, I would stop my Retin A about 3 days before, and start up about a week after, but I guess you would gage your after based upon how your skin was heeling. |

70% is strong! I would definitely stop the Retin A for 1 week prior to that. Make sure you do a patch test, as Retin A is already exfoliating your skin. |
