Hey all,
I'm thinking about getting Juvederm for some sleep lines that I cannot get rid of.
I used to be a stomach and side sleeper, and I've switched to sleeping on my back, so the source of the lines has at least been removed. What I'm wondering is, if I get Juvederm, because I no longer sleep on my side/stomach and they're not expression lines, is there a good chance that it'll be a more permenant fix?
Also, if one treatment's not a permenant fix, is there a chance that one or more successive treatments would be?
Thanks,
Jamie |

When you first get your juvaderm injected I would be very careful to sleep on your back the first week or so as to not dislodge the juvaderm or have it travel. That's just my opinion, but you can ask your injector to confirm.
It will plump it out and help the line to disappear but you might have to help the line along with peels, etc. |

Hi Jamie74,
I had a sleep line on one side of my nose a few years ago. It wasn't very long or deep. Anyway, I had it filled with juvederm and it never returned! Because some fillers can help in the production of collagen, I do think there are possibilities of getting rid of some lines or creases. Good Luck! |

Hey there Jamie...
I guess it all depends on where the lines are that you are talking about. If it is the normal Nasolabial trench, then Juve will fill that area nicely...not a permanent fix, but it did well for me. As far as normal creases from smiling or side sleeping, my derm doesn't do it nor does he recommend it. He states that in his experience it doesn't work well on lines outside of the NL trench...
Some may have had luck with this and have derms that will actually do it, but as far as my derm is concerned he doesn't like doing those...
Also I would recommend the "Save My Face" pillow if you ever decide to go back to side sleeping. It's shaped like a crecent wrench on both ends and keeps your face elevated enough to ward off the face smooshing...I've had mine for about a year and love it. It's definitely a face saver... |
