I just got my SkinBiology Acne Scar Reduction kit from EDS and (gasp) THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS! (Either for the kit as a whole or on each product's individual bottle). As a newcomer to both EDS and Copper Peptides, I feel like Cathy from the comic strip - ACK! Overwhelmed!
So, after going through each product's description here, I'm guessing this would be the proper way to use each item AS A BEGINNER (and maybe move up to twice a day or something):
-LacSal Serum: a very light layer on skin after cleansing, once a day.
-Super CP Serum: wait 20 minutes after applying LacSal serum and then use 2-3 drops of CP serum to cover entire face.
-Exfol Cream: (there's not very much of this) use this once a week instead of the lacsal serum (???)
-Super Cop 2X: (there's not much of this either) after using the regular cp serum for a few weeks and becoming comfortable with cps, use this as a spot treatment on tough scars/discolorations. Apply at the same time in the routine as I would regular cp serum.
Does that seem right to everyone? Also, I have ordered a dermawand (hoping to correct some bumpiness) and it should arrive this week - I'm taking it from other threads that I'd use the dermawand AFTER applying the CP serum since the dermawand helps with product penetration? Correct? |

murray - I'm surprised you didn't get any sheets on the products themselves. They usually always include a full page info sheet on each product.
As far as how to use them, I can help there.
The SC2X is to be used for spot treating.
The Exfol must be too if they gave you very little of that. Use it INSTEAD of the Lacsal a few times to see how you like it. I'm kinda surprised you recieved a cream version of the Exfol in an acne kit myself.
Your program of Cleansing/applying either Lacsal or Exfol/ wait 20-30 mins/ apply CPs is a good one to try. You may apply the SC2X on top of the Super CP AS a spot treatment only. It's really strong and being a cream, can cause breakouts in some ppl(it did for me in the beginning) I remember intense itching when I first used it - it's that strong. My skin is used to it now and I can apply it any time w/out incident. I still use it only for spot treating, tho.
The SC2X has done wonders for a few bad acne scars I developed a few months ago. They had been healing slowly, and looked like they would be boxcar type scars, but w/ frequent & consistent applications of the SC2X(& a base CP), they are now smooth w/ my skin. Some redness remains and that tells me they are still in the healing process, but the smoothness is amazing. My derm noticed that too - just yesterday. One scar has been there for 3 mos, but it had been a HUGE blemish and (I'm sure) a farirly deep one. so for it to be smooth now has made me even more impressed w/ these CPs. The only downfall is the slownessof how they work. You need the patience of a saint for these CPs.
If you have never used CPs before, you might want to dilute them in the beginning until your skin gets use to them. They are strong and you've got one of the strongest ones in the Super CP Serum. Dilute at egual strengths for a few days and then gradually decrease the water and increase the CPs until you're at full strength. I would recommend 4 drops H2O to 4 drops CPs to start.
Good luck.
Edited to add
I don't tink 2-3 drops of the CPs is enuif to cover any face, but mixed w/ water it might. Using a lower amt of Cps is probably a good idea, but dilute them in the beginning. I use 6-8 drops myself |

ohhh my murray,
i have many products from skin biology...
i don't use the products regularly because i had a bad incident with supercop 2X. most of my products are sitting in the main fridge, in storage.
i must stress please dilute supercop2x. you must dilute it. that sucker can burn through your face... i'm not joking.
on the skin biology site there are further roll down instruction for each item.
good luck! |

Yeah, I'm a little surprised there weren't any instructions either ... especially with all the horror stories I've read here regarding copper peptides. Good to know that's not the norm as this was my first EDS order and it did make me a little concerned.
So, anyway, sounds like I'm on the right track with usage. Question though: this morning I washed my face, applied the lacsal and super cp and ... that's it? I've never had a face this "naked" before - I'm used to creams and lotions and rubbing and blah blah blah, not this "dot here dot there pat around with your fingers" kinda stuff. I'm just starting this investment into my skin so I don't have a lot of the basics yet (like vitamin c serum, for example) but I just want to make sure I'm not missing a big step.
So: wash, lacsal, super cp - DONE? No moisturizer, no anything else? Seems okay so far today; no dryness or redness but it is only day 1. |

IF you have dry skin - and are using the serums - then I'd say add a moisturizer (and SB always likes you to use a natural one like the Emu Oil, since it soaks in good and mimics our own oil and can act as a pusher for the CPs).
Personally, I find I can get by with out a moisturizer after I apply my CPs in the AM. I rarely need a moisturizer. If my skin looks dry before the CPs, they fix that right away. See how it goes for you. If you think you need one, add it. Emu or Squalene is their perferred one, but I'd use another one if that's what I had. The Emu type just does a nice job of pushing. |

I think I would contact CS either by the 800 number or email and I would hope they would post the missing instructions to you ASAP!
That's just what I would do
