My skin is insanely sensitive and hates powder. I have tried every top powder and even mineral makeup, but everything enhances my flaky skin and settles into the fine lines and little hairs. Many a makeup artist has tried to convince me that their powder would work beautifully for me, but to no avail. I was therefore pleasantly surprised to find that a fairly standard brand, tarte, provides me with a powder that doesn't turn cakey on my face, make me look like a dry, patchy mess, and I don't break out! I ALWAYS break out, so I'm thrilled.
The coverage is very light, so it's not great for people who need to cover a lot of imperfections, but I like it because I like my natural skin to show through and don't want anyone to see my makeup -- no matter how close they are to my face! I even apply it with a big brush to make the coverage even lighter. I recommend this to anyone who needs to like slightly more polished, but has finicky skin. |
