I have been dating a man since late October. We are both recently divorced, in our late 40s.
The other day he mentioned that it was rare for someone our age to have no crows feet, referring to the fact that I only get them whenever I smile, otherwise you cannot see any on me.
I keep them away with topicals and Botox, mostly.
If you were me, would you ever let on about the Botox?
It's weird that some like me, aren't afraid to tout the topicals, but the mere mention of Botox feels like "cheating".
This is an odd paradox.

If it was me I would tell him if it looks like the relationship is going somewhere because eventually he's going to find out anyways. |

If a man likes the way you look, he doesn't need to know how you got that way. It will just give him ammunition down the line to use against you. Just say "Thanks! Good genes" or "I have always used sunscreen." Of course, if your relationship progresses to the point that he will be paying for it, that's another story! |

Never thought of that, it might scare him off if he thinks he could be paying for it down the road! |

You guys are cracking me up If you get your guy to pay for your filler and botox I'm JEALOUS.
At this point I'm holding it together with facial exercise and DIY mostly. And lots of prayer
BF - Your relationship is still rather new. What feels most right to you at this point in your relationship? The fact that you have used filler and botox is not the most important thing to disclose and I'd say so long as you're not telling him you DON'T do it (and you are), you're okay. Just don't discuss that aspect until you want to tell him. |

Well you could just say "I work very hard at it" and not go into details? I certainly don't feel compelled to report every single thing i do. *shrugs* Maybeee someday you might find out he uses botox as well. |

Yes, I agree this is a wise approach with men. They usually have zero interest in your skincare regime and certainly want to know nothing about such things as hair removal !!
He likely was giving you a compliment, rather than questioning you. However, if he's foolish enough to mention it again, you could go into a lengthy monologue about the pros and cons of various anti-oxidants and other topicals ... and then watch his eyes glaze over, while checking his watch and phone. I doubt he'll bring it up again, for fear of having to sit through another lengthy discourse on AHAs, BHAs, DMAE, copper peptides, pH levels, or whatever else you feel like torturing him with |

I like circus's response or the "Tell 'em notin'" route.
I also think it was a compliment like appletini suggested. My DH also swears off my mentioning any type of skin care conversations to dear friends (fearing yawns and glazed eyes...) |
