I suppose it depends on how much growth you need. But I have good luck with just castor oil. I definitely have fuller lashes (but not longer).
Also try a board search for Latisse and Carepost (generic latisse). |

I have had great results with Never Over The Hill Lash Growth Serum along with others that have used it there are a few threads about it but here is a link to one it doesn't contain any prostaglandin analogues that can have unwanted side effects.

i've been using the revitalash serum for 2 months on my eyebrows and lashes. i have noticed a huge improvement on my eyebrows, and now have a full pair of brows. i'm still waiting for the eyelashes to kick in. which i'm confident they will...seeing the results with the brows. also, i have not experienced any of the ill symptoms. Last year I started using the glo-minerals lash serum which was then taken off the market because of the patent issue with Allergan. The growth I got was amazing! I had one friend that when we would meet for dinner would start laughing because my lashes were distracting! LOL
My daughter would do that same thing and called my lashes "insane" When they took it off the market and came out with Latisse I refused to buy it due to the cost. Even though I knew it was going to work I just could not rationalize the expense of $100 a month to have lashes. I recently found out about alldaychemist.com and they sell a generic form of the Latisse for $10 a bottle, I decided to give it a try since it is supposed to be the exact same formulation as Latisse. My lashes have grown like crazy in the last month, it could be they grew so quickly because I've used the product before but at any rate it works for me and is right in my price range. I ordered enough for 6 months or more because of the $25 shipping charge. I love the stuff and it works great for me! |

i don't get any side effects. if you'll notice in the threads, products effect each person differently. revitalash is the first serum that i'm using. i only found out about it when i joined EDS. before, i heard of such things, but i though it was all myth and b.s.-because it was all word of mouth. before i decided on revitalash i did ALOT of reading... as i'm sure many members here have. i read thread after thread, and then over again. i thought my eyeballs were going to fall out... really! then i became panic stricken cuz i didn't know which one to use... revitalash, jan marini, careprost, etc. so i got all of them.
i started on revitalash, and the others are in the fridge till i decide how i'm going to incorporate them into my eyelash regimen. see... when i read the threads and then more reviews on youtube... it seems that you get better results...
1) after 3 months of use, to only use it as maintenance (2-3 times per week). else the eyelashes will get sparse and thin, curl everywhere, and shed
2) some have had better luck alternating a growth serum with a conditioning serum
3) some have had better luck when they alternate products. eg. when finished with serum 1, then use different company serum (#2)
but from my understanding, with long time users, the longer you use it the longer the lashes and more permanence. meaning, its no good to dowse your lashes... they have to be trained upon the serum over a long time period. that is my understanding.
the confusing part is that it is different for each person... and there has been more confusion and chaos because jan marini and revitalash changed their serums. make a long story short... i really don't know.
all i know is that i have a whole bunch of products... i'm using revitalash now and it works. i have no side effects that i can determne... and i plan on using growth serums for a long while.
hellen, if one did not work for you, then you have to try another. sorry, i don't have an absolute solution. also regarding the price... this has been discussed in numerous threads and you tube reviews. it works out that the expensive brands actually last longer, this is excluding the careprost which is already cheap.

hey moxiemama! how ya been?
i just wanted to use your quote for hellen.
this latisse she bought at alldaychemist... this is what i got... it is careprost. the same thing as lumigan.
sorry, i know this is confusing but i think we're all confused.
my lashes are very short but i have LOTS of them. i'm not looking for short term solutions and i know i'll be using the serums for a long time coming. |

its been a great experience, that's for sure!
i'm enjoying the adventure! |

i agree. before choosing anything i think one needs to read the threads and read all the info. this gives a better picture of what you're dealing with and the consequences. |

I've tried Lilash and Anastasia. Lilash worked (expensive, though) but Anastasia didn't. |
