i'm just curious because a friend of mine who used to post here, lavieenrose, gave me a used bottle and i remember liking it very much. thinking of trying it out as a late winter moisturizer, just like the same intends (chrysalis!).
will it be moisturizing enough for my skin?
any info or memories would be so much appreciated!

Hi A! It's good to see you around these parts! I love Chrysalyx, unfortunately, it's never been heavy enough to use as a stand-alone winter moisturizer for me. You might consider trying a couple of my recent faves: Korres' Thyme Honey moisturizer or First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream. (The former is very moisturizing and really smells like honey, the latter contains oatmeal and ceramides and is genius at dealing with redness and irritation.) However, when things start to warm up I say go for the Chrysalyx--- it's great stuff! |

Avalange,
I totally agree with manslayerliz. The Chrysalix is a nice product, but it is not moisturizing enough (imo) for the winter months. I think it will be a good choice for the warmer months esp. since my skin gets oilier.
Now off to check out this First Aid Beauty's Repair Cream liz mentioned. |

I'm telling you, you ladies are in for a treat with that cream! It's amazing stuff--- I use it on my face, eyelids (eyelid eczema, ugh....), hands, legs, feet, etc etc. It wears beautifully under make up too and helps nix the redness I get in the winter from dryness and irritation. Helpful hint: I mist with Caudalie's Grape Water before I apply it to my face to help it soak in. |
