Yep I sure do especially as it would be impossible to post the books I have on any number of subjects! |

It says 30 per container but i swear it seems to go farther than that because I only reorder every 3 months or so. Now I don't drink them on the weekends. I am 5 on 2 off on all my supplements/vitamins because that's also my workout schedule. Call me crazy! |

Skitahoe, I was drinking Kyo-Green but replaced that with straight Spirulina and Chlorella.

Honestly, I never saw any difference with it. |

Sis, you are much better than I am. I eat meat every day, including pork and beef and I have a terrible sweet tooth. Green smoothies have helped with that but it still gets the best of me sometimes.
Keliu, I'm just going to be honest. I wouldn't take that because of the green tea. That is a tiny amount of spirulina per serving. It has 10mg of spirulina per serving and 100mg of green tea. Spirulina powder is 3g of spirulina per teaspoon. You would have to take 30 of those pills to equal 1 teaspoon of spirulina powder and that would give you 30 servings of caffeine. The caffeine will also prevent you from being able to take it at night. I, personally, like to take my greens morning and night.
You would have to take 3 boxes of it per day to equal 1TBS 2x's daily. |

I just started the 2 T a day of spirulina and I'm going to get the pure planet barley. Also have added chlorella. |
I use the spirulina and activated barley from Pure Planet and love these products!
I take them in powders mixed with water for my powershake in the morning and find that especially the A.barley is the best energy kick I have ever taken.
It lasts throughout the day and I used to be beat by the end of a work day, now I go to the gym instead |

Hi again
Another update on my progress with the spirulina tablets and cream combo. I am so impressed with the results that I have had, my skin is the best it's ever been. I've spent twenty years since my teens trying to find something that works for me, and certainly in the 2 weeks that I've been religiously taking my spirulina tablets and using the spirulina cream as a night cream my skin has really seen the benefits. I've only got a couple of old blemishes that are healing up nicely, but no new ones. So finally at 36, I'm beginning to feel skin confident.
Many thanks DM for the dark circle recipe too! |

What amount of milligrams or grams are you taking daily of the spirulina tablets?
Thanks

I'm only taking a really low dose of spirulina, three tablets a day of 500mg per tablet.
I also take a supplement recommended for tinnitus, and I've just noticed that supplement contains buckwheat, hops, blueberry & galangal, which I now wonder whether any of those has also helped with the improvement in my skin. I remember some of the other posts mentioned buckwheat as being good for skin too. |

Its a water based cream that I found in the UK that has spirulina platensis extract specified as one of the ingredients, it also contains seabuckthorn & lavender oil. |

Thank you, mariajj. I have actually heard great things about seabuckthorn! |

Thank you Blueeyes for the review. Always nice to have validation. I love to get to the gym after work and if I have extra energy so much the better. I'm going to get Pure Planet Barley next when I get the Spirulina from them. I'm taking about 2.5T a day of spriulina in water and noticed slight breaking out in my lower face - not like my skin to do that so I'm suspecting it is a level of detox.
Between the MSM and BioSil in water and then the green smoothie and also Sprirulina/chlorella in 8Oz of water and flax and chia seeds in water I'm probably into a gallon by noon. Plus I drink two glasses when I wake up with lemon to rehydrate from the night. I always thought I drank a lot of water but this puts it at a whole new level. |

Sis, does your spirulina dissolve well? I have to stir and stir and stir and still, I feel clumps going down my throat. That, plus the taste has made it almost impossible for me to get it down. I've stopped the spirulina until I can either figure out a way to drink the stuff or get some tablets. |

DM, I tried that recipe a while back and saw a slight difference from just one application. Of course, it went away quickly because I only did it once. |

Tonia - You are right, it does not dissolve. It seems to suspend in solution more than anything - yep... clumps! Maybe if you combine in a blender it would help. Honestly I just chug it back, clumps and all and chew/drink - whatever. I tell myself it is soooo good for me and don't I love it
I figure it's 10 seconds of yucky - so I deal with it. I've made myself committed.
That green drink mentioned by Annie - Tonic Alchemy might be worth checking out. Maybe if you found another form of Green Drink you could add some extra spirulina to it to make it more palatable and have all the extra little goodies too.
The tablets will work but it does take sooo many to make up what you get in the powder and the expense is much greater.
Let me know what you end up doing. I'd hate you to lose all the good stuff that comes of spirulina. |

Unfortunately like most things you use it needs to be used regularly, everyday the first weak and 2-3 times a weak after that, it seems to work much better the longer you use it. |

Tonia - I just made up an 8ozer of the spirulina/chlorella mix and really checked it out.
It does disperse but not all of it = thus the clumps, right! I have a handheld blender which I didn't get out this time but I'm going to try it next and I know that will help tremendously. I really want to stick with the spirulina for all of this year to see what it does. From a health standpoint it seems like superior "medicine".
I have friends who go to a Chinese medicine practitioner (TCM) on a regular basis and all of them look healthier, feel better, etc. I'm going to go and lay out my regime to him. He's helped my friends with so many issues. I don't have any specifics - My goal is to get to the best level on health protection, prevention, the glow of good health and want tips and an analysis. Have you ever done anything like that (Tonia or anyone?) |

Sis, I have not ever been to a Chinese medicine practitioner but I would love to. Unfortunately, I don't know of any close to where I live. Since some are good and some are not, I would be scarred to try one without a recommendation from someone.
OK, fine. I'll try the spirulina again. I can already see the difference on my face since I stopped. The glow is already diminishing. You're right, the pills aren't a good solution either. I have a handheld blender that I haven't tried with it. If that doesn't work, I could try the Tonic Alchemy. I really do need to keep at it because it's worth it. I just lost my motivation. Thanks for the pep talk. |

Tonia I'm touched - I'm glad to encourage you.
I wonder if it would help to hold your nose when you drink it |

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think anything would help.
