Hi,

We have our trip booked to go south again this year and I need help faking my face tan. Normally I use physicians formula bronzing powder over my regular foundation for a nice dark fake tan . I recently switched to JI mineral makeup and would like to try one of her bronzers but am unsure which one to choose.

Can anyone give me any guidance as to whether to order So Bronze 1 or 2 . I see by the descriptions what the difference in the two are but am honestly confused as to which one to order.

Thanks for your help

Hi Sherri!
When I was matched as "satin" in JI, they should it would be fun to use the bronzer, too. Come to think of it, it was probably because Satin is a bit too light for my skin.

Anyway, they used SoBronze2. It made me look old, and dirty. Pores looked bigger. It may have been because they were very heavy handed. (The spa near me has very dim, soft light, so soft and light that at first I was matched with "suntan". That wasn't a match, that was changing ethnicity.

I thought it to be a very "one dimensional" bronze. That could be because of all the crap I had on my face, but I prefer liquid bronzers, or cream. They just look more realistic to me.

Their ingredient list is the same...

hths...

Thanks Dalguy,

I have read great reviews about her bronzer so am going to hope it was just their heavy handedness and the lighting. I find liquid bronzers break me out and dont give the same results for me. I am on a mission to switch completely to minerals so determined to order either So bronze 1 or 2.

I just ordered the full size Natural in her pressed powder and now find it to be too light for me too. It really sucks to think I am going to end up sticking it in a drawer somewhere after paying so much for it.

Any idea what is the next darkest shade in her line?

Thanks for your help

That REALLY sucks. Natural was too light for me as well, so we tried satin and warm silk. I literally walked around the mall and asked random people which side of my face they liked better LOL!

Satin won, but in certain lights in can look a little white. I called their customer service, and they said unfortunately, a step darker would be suntan. Which was way too dark.

IIRC, there is a website that sells samples of JI stuff for about $3? I'll try and find it for you.

Edit; Found it.

It was fun, but sort of embarrassing.

"Hi, I'm testing out base because I'm having laser resurfacing, which side of my face looks better?"

LOL.

The site is pretty great, and the samples are good. I like the fact that you're able to choose other samples. I plan on getting some MD Forte and ProCyte samples when I order.

It's too bad they don't offer bronzer samples. Sad

hey sherri,

just wondering about what you plan to do with the unwanted JI? I've in toronto, maybe I could take it off your hands if you truly don't want it? thanks Smile

Hi edenfield,
I am going to wait for some more samples to arrive before parting with it. It shouldn't take that long so I will keep you in mind.
