Any opinions on this. Do any of you ladies know of this or someone that has had this done. Love it or leave it? |

The lady that owned my nail salon and then sold it had this done every 6 months and it looked fantastic. You would have never known but she told me, I think it's very important to find an experienced tech to do this. Get recommendations if at all possible.

I've seen lots of them done that look very natural, but agree you need to go with someone VERY experienced and one that uses the higher quality natural pigments. I had permanent lash enhancement done and LOVE it! |

I have seen this done on several people, one was my best friend. Most looked great but my best friend went over board and went too dark. She is happy but I think it is too much. I would advise someone that is checking this out to ask to see pictures and go lighter on the color...you can always have a touch up that will darken it. |

I agree with this Toby. The very idea is scary to me. |

I know where I live many have both done, I have only seen very nice professional jobs done. For the brows I believe laws were changed and the dyes that are used are heavily controlled, there may be some still using dyes that are no longer approved and that may be why you are seeing bad results. The dyes that are approved do fade in time that's why my friend (the salon owner) has it done every 6 months. She happens to also do this and other "permanent" makeup so that's who I have my information from. I guess you need to investigate who is doing anything this long lasting very carefully, just common sense really. |

Hi DM. I'm not sure if you mean to quote me or the OP. I love my lash enhancement and did a lot of research before I chose who I did. She uses only natural stuff and as a result also says everyone will require a touch up, typically between 3-5 years. 6 months seems very short, particularly with the intensity of this kind of treatment, but I guess her technique and/or pigments are slightly different than what mine used. Either way you are right on that everyone needs to do their research before considering something like this. |

An elderly lady who is a family friend had it done - the results were rather frightening All I can say is, make sure the tattoo artist/esthetician is experienced and ask to see pictures of their work first! |

I had it done last year and I totally love it.I made a lot of research before doing it.
It all about the colour and mine is a dark brown.
I'll need a touch-up maybe in a few month, but that's way cheaper. |

I have only heard of people with alapica (complete hairloss) getting it done before. How does it work? Do you shave your eyebrows, or is it just to colour them in like an eyebrow pencil would do? Do they use the big needles like they do for tatoos? - Just curious, I'm too scardy to get anything like that done! |

It doesn't hurt at all...
I have eyebrows , but I wanted fuller and longer eyebrows . If you find somebody with experience it can turn really nice. |

oh just saw this thread and had to post..
I had wanted this done for ages, as I have eyebrows, but one of them was very sparse, drove me crazy.
anyway after ALOT of research and lots of nerves I had my eyebrows done about 14 months ago. Best thing I have ever spent my money on!! She uses 'strokes' not a solid line, nice natural colour and I absolutely love it, just wish I had it done years ago! It didn't hurt for the eyebrows at all.
then I loved them so much that a month later I had my eyeliner done, more a real lash enchancement. This I love too, wished I'd done it years ago. Having said that, you are supposed to go back about 2 months later just to retouch and then it can last anything up to 10 years. However the eyes hurt so much there was no way I was going back.
they hurt like hell, and swelled up something shocking, not sore just swollen, it was quite horrific looking actually...lol. couldn't show myself for a couple of days. But it was all worth it, so many people compliment me on my eyes, they are green and they eyeliner really emphasises that now.
sorry for the ramble, just wanted to tell my story..but it is extremely important who does them! |
