First off let it be known :I've put my body through a lot. I was raped a couple years ago, It was violent and resulted in staph infection on my thighs and bikini area, I gained a bunch of weight from depression, lost it all, got myself down to a size 6(from an 18 ), had a tummy tuck, and breast lift with augmentation, all before my 20th birthday (I'm 19!).... Now, I've got a nice shape, my body looks good....in clothes. I have stretch marks on my tummy...I spray tan a lot so they get masked fairly well...but, I want a little extra help... I did my research and read and read and read... and decided to get a dermaroller, I'm following the advice found in these forums, and I'm confident that I've got this down....I got a tattoo over my staph scars on my bikini area, and now it looks like there was never anything wrong with my skin....two problems down (hopefully the stretchmarks clear up..I have faith it will)!!

But... I have dark hyperpigmented areas on the front and back of my thighs from the staph infection that wasn't covered by the tattoo... these are the only things left that bother me... they look like acne scars, really... dark purple marks... so, my qeuestions are :

Does the derma roller work better than tca peels for hyperpigmented areas? ... or is there anything you found that works better?

Also... I'm looking for the best sunblock lotion... which is unrelated to the rest of this.. I want maybe a sunblock that smells nice (or is unscented), does it's job well, and moisturizes. I've got dry skin, so I need all the moisturizer I can get.

I'm sorry to hear you've been thru so much in your young age. May you find peace and happiness in the future.

Now, I can't recommend any SS that you'd be interested in, but do a search as there are alot of thread on them here on EDS. The search button is on the top of the page.

A dermaroller should be very helpful for your stretchmarks and hyperpigmented scars. Use Vitamin A and Vitamin C along with Copper Peptide products with your regime and you should see substantial improvements. You will need patience and do more research. This is a good place for that.
