hi, a question for anyone who has used retinol or knows alot about retinol treatment.
i started using diacneal(0.1% retinol, 6% glycolic acid) to help my mild acne. before i started using diacneal i would always have at least 3-5 pimples on my face at all times.
now, 3 weeks into diacneal, my face is literally COVERED in pimples. i would guess around 25-30ish. i went from 5 pimples to 30. :/
i've read a lot of places that retinol can take up to 3 or 4 months to start seeing results, so am i going to have to endure 2 more months of all these breakouts? do you purge all the way untill you get clear? or do you just get a few initial purges?
also: is it ok to use BP as a spot treatment during the day? i only use diacneal at night.
thanks in advance, i appreciate it |

You can use BP in the am.
IMO a purge does not continue to happen over and over again over several weeks. So your breakout now should clear up and things should start get better. |

It is normal for some to purge, and others don't.I had 3 or 4 pop up and after that I was fine.Yes you can spot treat .I know it is scary but it will clear. |
