So what are the facts? Is it okay to have botox and use a baby quasar or any led unit? I'd hate to have botox and then use a led unit and lose the botox. |

I have posted on it many times in the past. It was not a good idea to use the Baby Q on freshly injected botox sites. It will and did diminish the results. Same with fillers. |

so you wouldn't use it at all? Not even after 2 weeks or so? If the quasar is to go deep, I'd think it would be best not to use it. Hate to waste the $$$. Thanks for answering. I tried to search it but came up with tons of botox threads... |

DM, why not give a call to the BQ manufacturer? I had a long chat with a lady there.
Similarly, you can call someone at the Botox company and then compare notes.
Pluto (own BQ, but would never do Botox; currently swollen and purple from pulse dye laser, though!) |

The original problem came from contacting the Baby Q people. He told me to use it on the injection sites of the resty and botox to make the swelling go down. It also made 600.00 go down the tube! They didn't take at all. I know it wasn't me as I had done it many times in the past and since over the last 9 years with no problems. It takes and lasts a long time for me, very cost effective.
So when I called back to say, what the?, another guy said oh no you shouldn't use it on the sites that soon after. Needless to say i was very unhappy. Not a, I'm so sorry, nothing. Just oops.
Now I don't use it directly on the botox areas at all or the resty sites for at least 3 weeks until it has completely settled.
Do it at your own risk. Several have posted about it under the Baby Q and Quasar threads. |

Oooh, I hate that sort of thing, Annie. Did you ask your derm about it?
I would think the derm would tell you whether she would use laser over a new or any Botox site, even if she didn't know much about BQ.

No, he hadn't even heard about the LED's until I showed them the article i had done in the NYTimes.
It was about 4-5 years ago when the thread on Quasar's first came out.
That's why I went straight to the source and asked Peter, the go to guy at the time at Quasarland.
Boy was I mad! The least they could have done was offered to refund my Baby Q price or upgrade at a discount or something since it was their mistake.
Needless to say, I won't/don't do much to help them promote their product, although I could on a weekly to sometimes daily basis. |
