Hi Guys,

This is my first post here but I've been lurking for a while. Embarassed I've been shy to post before but I really need some advice.

Last week I picked up a bottle of Cosmetic Skin Solution's C+E Ferulic Serum. I used about 4-5 drops on my face in the morning. When I applied it, I didn't feel any burning or tingling sensation at all, but by evening time my face was red and peeling like crazy. Crying or Very sad

It's now been about 7 days since this happened. The peeling stopped but my face is still red, blotchy, and very itchy in spots. I also have a few acne pit scars from the past and they suddenly look larger. To make matters worse, I'm getting a few pimples in the most irritated areas. Embarassed Crying or Very sad

I haven't been using anything since this incident except moisturizer and neosporin. I'm so stressed because I made so much progress in my skin since I started using Retin A a few months ago, and now I'm back to square one -- maybe even worse than that! Sad

Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do right now? Is this "burn" permanent? I'm freaking out, please help.

Sylvia, I'd say you're doing the right thing by just moisturizing right now. Sounds like your skin is reacting and irritated. It will settle down as long as you don't irritate it more.
You could try using emu oil. It's an anti-inflammatory healing oil.
I also find Avene thermal spring water helps soothe irritated skin.

It really sounds like something did not agree with your skin in the Cosmetics Solution formula. Have you used C formulas before without a problem?

I think you are doing the right thing by using nothing on your skin until it heals. The other thing you can do is to get you some diaper rash cream. It sounds silly, but the zinc in it will heal your skin very quickly.

I agree with rileygirl. Stop using them for a while and use Avene Thermal Spring Water to calm skin until it recovers.
