Has anyone used origins? What do you think of it?

I am totally new to skincare. All I used to use and still do is ivory soap.

But my skin is getting lines, wrinkles, looks washed out, lost the glow, and is very dry. So I know I need to start exfoliating, right?!

I got a free Origins facial and she recommended all these products. Cleanser, exfoliator, etc. that I should be using.

Is Origins a good brand or is there something better that will give my skin a glow/look younger?

It didn't look that different. It seemed to have a slight slight glow. The thing I didn't like is it seemed like any blemishes I have were more pronounced- like it almost drew them out. So my skin looked worse! Is this typical??

If you get a facial it is typical to have breakouts after, it brings out the sebum plugs and all built up crud in your skin when you first start. This is common with a lot of things initial bad before the good! Smile

I didn't realize you had blemish prone skin.
If you're wanting to use drug store products, either Neostrata or ROC are two that I can think of for your skin type.
I would definitely ditch the Ivory for your cleanser,it's drying your skin out, esp. since your not using a moisturizer.
I agree with using an exfoliator,it will help with dull skin and keeping your pores clean.

The only thing I have used from the Origins range is the scrub and it was gorgeous.

I've used the Modern Friction scrub which was quite nice. Balanced out the skin tone.

I did not like their mineral sunscreen. It smelt nice (oranges) but it looked like I had a clay mud mask on lol.

The make a difference cream that is tailored to dry skin didn't really impress me, either Sad

I have tired many Origins items in the past. They are just OK IMO. Many contain irritants for me.

I do the same GG but I have had the opposite with Origins no irritation at all, but my skin is far from reactive. Smile
