Is rose hip seed oil an oil or an essential oil or both? I bought mine at my local health food store (the NOW brand) and it came in a small essential oil sized bottle with a dropped. As I was skimming mountain rose herbs the other day I saw it comes in a big carrier oil size bottle. |

Rosehip seed oil is a carrier oil - not an essential oil. I bought the large one at Mountain Rose Herbs and only wish they had it in a small dropper bottle! I transferred some into one. |

ditto to Zoftig's reply
i use my rosehip seed oil as 100% carrier oil for various reasons..(also from mountain rose herbs)... with a variety of diy eo's added...but most recipes use a smaller % of rosehip seed oil (maybe 20% or so) added to other carrier oils like almond, for. example. |

It's an oil. I use it neat twice a week on the entire face. Helps improve the texture of the skin and helps diminish the appearance of scars. Not to mention it's a spure as face care comes . |

I just read this about rose hip seed oil the other day:
Rose Hip Seed Oil: strengthens the collagen of the skin, repairs scar tissue, broken capillaries and promotes regeneration of skin cells. Maintains elasticity of the skin and supports the integrity of the cell membrane, reduces wrinkles and maintains skin texture.
Definately worth looking into! |
