Hello, just want to pass along that the Ylang Ylang oil has really cleared up the blackheads on my nose! I had a hard time adjusting to the concept of oil on oil, but it works! I tried so many of the drugstore products for this problem with no success (just dried out the area and nothing else). I used it everynight to get rid of them for a while and now just a couple times a week. Well worth the investment. |
So you just use it as a mask and then wash the oil away or you have it on your nose overnight?
Thanks! |

Usually I use the oil in the day and the balm @ night.
I like both the products and felt that after using the balm, in the morning, the face feels very good. |

I've never tried the Aromessence Ylang Ylang but the Ylang Ylang Night Balm. It's great and one jar last forever, cos you only use a bit. I bought the professional size (100ml), cause it's cheaper, but I doubt I can ever finish it. Haha... |

It's one of the products I've repurchased recently. I use it almost every day. I also use the balm on troubled areas at night. |

Oh my goodness. Reading this forum is so fascinating...but so dangerous! Now I really want to try this product. I have never been able to get rid of the blackheads on my nose. Whenever I use any acne product on my nose it always starts to peel after a couple of days and looks even worse!! I'm going to check the price now... |

I started using Decleor ylang ylang oil about 5 years ago while living in the Caribbean. It worked wonders on my oily skin and after about a month of applying it just at night I found I didn't need to blot my face during the day like I used to. I didn't get miraculous results on the blackheads on my nose however but did see a reduction in them. I've since moved to a colder climate but always keep a bottle of this on hand. |

I've trouble with blackheads too. I's also sceptical of the oil on oil idea but sounds like Ylang Yland is really good. Seriously thinking of trying it out.. |

It does look awfully good...I wonder if there is a way to get a sample? It's pretty expensive. |

Mom2Busy2Boys and Chimera:
I started out with a sample from EDS with an order (very generous little bottle thats lasts forever since you only use a drop or 2) and then when I ran outit was worth the purchase because I had already seen results.
Blackheads on my nose started to diminish after a couple of weeks and were gone after a month or so. Dr. Hauschka here at EDS has a Normalizing Oil that is supposed to work on the same prinicpal, maybe that's less $$, I haven't personally used it.
HTH! |

I use retinoids for my acne and blackheads (diacneal), is this ylang oil possible to combine with that, or do you have to use it by itself? The reason I'm wondering is because the retinoids are drying, and if you put oil on the drying stuff, to reduce the oil in your face, aren't these products just gonna counteract eachother? (just on the "oil- vs non-oil part, i understand that the function of the retinoid is more complex than just drying the skin out) Does anyone have any experience with this?
..and, has anyone found a cheaper version of this oil? No DIYer that has copied this and is selling it? |

Dr. Hauschka's Normalizing Oil is less $$ plus the EDS Forum discount. Also, Clarins makes one, Clarins Lotus Oil, but I don't know if it's less expensive. I did not use my Retin A on my nose on the nights I used to use the Ylang Ylang Oil because I had used the Retin A for a long time and it never did anything for my blackheads, so I wanted the Ylang Ylang to work by itself. |

I use the decleor oil and balm as well and love them. They are staples for me. While it does help with the blackheads, I still have them, just not as bad as before. And I LOVE the smell! |

If you live near a Sephora, they will give you samples of Decleor testers. They recently stopped carrying Dr. H entirely, though. |

To those of you using this oil, are you still liking it? If you have blackheads, has that improved? If you've tried other oils (especially less expensive ones), how did it compare?
As you can tell, I'm still looking for that "miracle" blackhead remover - besides squeezing ! |

Hi! I use the Ylang Ylang oil on my whole face, but I am very prone to having clogged pores all over my face, not just my nose. It really does only take a few drops, and one bottle will last me a very long time. It took me about a month to use up one sample of Ylang Ylang oil, and I have used my full sized bottle often, and it doesn't even look like any oil is missing It may seem expensive, but considering that it would last a long time, I felt that it was worth it.

Hi, Tina, thank you for sharing, I am really interested in this product.
First of all, I love Decleor, and I am using Neroli now. I want to know how serious is your blackhead on the nose and how do you use the Ylang Ylang oil.
When I am using the Neroli oil, I just use two tiny drops to the finger, warm it, and then apply to my face. Do you follow the same procedure with Ylang Ylang oil? Is there a special massage method you use for the nose?
Thank you very much.
Because blackhead is a long-term skin problem for me, I have tried a lots of method, such as Clarins lotus oil mentioned above, however, all of them have poor effects. I am really eager to know how your recommendation works. |

I know different products work for different ppl but this is really bad for my skin. I tried the ylang ylang oil along with other decleor products and my skin reacted very badly to it! I actually had exzema from using this brand of products and I dont even have sensitive skin! If you have not tried this brand before, I recommend trying a sample first. |

I am a little confused about the priciple how this product get ride of the blackhead.
I am really interested in it. I have a ugly "strawberry" nose.
I know this product can control the oil secreted from the face, but how can it remove the blackheads already being there. Do I need to massage with the ylang ylang oil to get them out? |

I find that exfoliating with Decleor Phytopeel and then applying Decleor Instant Purifying Mask weekly has really helped cleanse my skin and remove impurities & dead skin cells. My face looks amazing for days. I apply my Ylang Ylang oil every morning, I am not sure if it removes blackheads, I really think that the exfoliating does. I think that the oil really balances out your skin. Love the line! |
