What?! I just saw this app in iPhone - "SkinApp". Your iPhone can help you to remove wrinkles by color light therapy. It provides different light sources for different treatment - improve micro-circulation, detox, relaxation... what an app. Chromotherapy has been used by ancient civilization like China and Egypt. It has been used as an alternative treatment for thousands of years. I just find the idea interesting by putting it on mobile. According to my knowledge, the LCD screen of iPhone has a polarizer filter - actually, every LCD screen has a polarizer. The polarizer polarized the lights from the screen. Color treatment by polarized lights gives better results than non-polarized (i.e. random) lights, according to some medical researches. |

That's crazy! I wonder if it could work? Is the light source on the phone strong enough to really have an effect? If so it would make me consider saving up for one... |

I think it is the interesting part. It suggests users to put the screen very close to the skin. May be the energy is strong enough in such close distance. Anyway, it is just $0.99. Why not give it a try? |

This is the third thread on this and one app was purchased by an iPhone owner and deemed as useless. I am typing this on my iPhone and I wouldn't waste the money or space on my phone for this, just not convenient (1 and I doubt the strength is what you need (2 but that's just me. |

May be the power of the light is lower than those used by professionals. At least it may be safer as the light from the app will not burn your skin |

It's not worth running down my battery, iPhones are sealed and you have to go to an apple store and pay them to replace one, unlike other cell phones. I still don't think there is enough power to do any good for the skin.
