Hi Beth

Wanted to ask u a question about your reply below.

****I am going to purchase one of these for my 11's and crows feet. I'll probably stick with the .8mm since I think 1.8mm is definite overkill since I don't have acne scars. I also have a Nova stamp around somewhere and then I can compare the 2 in person (once I find the Nova one! ***

is there any particular reason why you stopped using the nova stamp at .8mm. did you not get any results with it?

Warm Regards,

Storke

I never used it, because I can't find it...it's buried in my office somewhere!

I didn't order it...I decided to put off my roll since I am trialing some other products and want to see how they do before I roll.

Thanks for that Havana8

have reposted here. Smile

It has finally made its way into my anticipating hands!!

My dermastamp from nova clinic arrived.

I am very happy with the quality of it, and very glad i decided to start off with a 0.8mm.

I also tested it out on the back of my hand. yes there was no sterilization or cleaning of it, before i did that. Just was excited totry it out and see what happened.

i stamped it about 10 times in one spot, without anesthetic. it hurt! but was kinda tolerabel. I think for my face, i am definitely going to need numbing cream.

One question to all of you:

what do u recommend for sterilizing it before i use it on my face? any brand in particular to clean the needles???

oh and my sister tried it out after I did on my hand, she had a bad reaction. itching, bumpy and red. i ended up applying zinc cream to it for her, but it still reacted even the next day.

i figure it was because A) I used it first

or

B) We never sterilized it at all and she reacted to my germs or something?

all in all, quite pleased and think that since my skin reacted very favourably, this may turn out to be a very good thing!!

Kind Wishes,

Storke

It may be a bad idea to share these needles. If you did not clean the Derma Stamp before your sister tried it on her skin, she may have reacted badly to your skin cells or blood residue left on the needles.

I am very curious about the Derma Stamp so I will be following your progress. I thought the product might have come with instructions as to how to sterilize or disinfect it. If it did not, I would rinse with hot water and alcohol to try to clean it.

So I bought the inexpensive derma stamp from jglobalsales on eBay in the 2.0 mm size. It has 80 needles and measures 1.2 centimeters by 2.0 centimeters from where the needles start. The plastic base extends a bit further around the edge.

It probably isn't nearly as dense as the original Derma Stamp but I suppose I could just needle more often. I will update you when I get around to using it which won't be very soon as I have a derma roller I am still using.
