Does anyone have good remedy for dry, hangnails? I get the same ones that keep coming back.

There are a couple of things I would recommend:
1. Buy a good quality pair of nippers and trim hang nails IMMEDIATELY so that they don't tear and become larger.

2. Do NOT trim your cuticles...it actually can cause more hang nails.
3. Push your cuticles back gently from the nailbed so that they are flexible and less likely to tear. I've noticed that that people that do not push their cuticles back ALWAYS have more hang nails than those that do. I just use my fingernail and push them back on the opposite hand when I am in the shower. |

Gently pushing the cuticles back with a soft towel after showering/bathing and washing hands also works to keep them from tearing. A good hand cream and or oil keeps them soft and not brittle preventing this also. |
