Hi
I noticed that DDF do a vitamin k cream for spider/thread veins. Has anyone tried this cream or had any success with other creams?
I had some electrolysis on spider veins that seemed to have worked but was very expensive and the woman who did it was horrible and never did the area I asked for (nose) just concentrated on areas that really did not show so don't want to go down that path again...
Thanks

Fatsia,
I am trying a vitamin P cream at the moment but that is for the body. I've been told that vit P is supposed to be good for spider veins so I am testing that theory out. Until recently, I have only heard of vit K as "the" ingredient for spider veins. I'll update in the future, I think I am seeing some fading but it's too ealry to tell at the moment.
I have also tried vitamin K creams before (but also for the body) but I don't think I used them religiously enough to see any difference and I just gave up. I can say with 100% certainty that the Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue really helped out with my dark circles though I do have a few visible veins remaining but I doubt that I can get rid of these - I think it's just veins that are showing up because I don't have enough fat under the skin to hide them....
I just checked out the MUA reviews of the Peter Thomas Roth Skin Brightener and they are mixed. Some people are reporting good results and some none - fair enough I guess - not everything work the same on everyone. Sorry, I haven't heard anything about the DDF one.

For the past several weeks I have been using Janson Beckett's Couperose Cream (I believe Ian told me it contains Vitamin P). I apply a small amount both morning and evening but have not noticed any changes yet. The JB website description of this product reads: "Astringent and freshening action reduces the appearance of spider veins and broken capillaries on the face". I really should have taken before and after pics - maybe the results are very gradual.
I have tried several Vitamin K creams, which actually made the veins more pronounced. |

| I was actually told by my derm that stuff like vitamin k, electric neeedle, IPL and the like might make certain veins more pronounced but for different reasons. That is, I think in my case they helped reduce the general redness from the smaller veins with the result being that I was more clearly able to see the larger veins. At least this was what happened with my veins around my nose. |

| Try out the PTR POWER K skin brightener. This cream is very effective against spider veins and scars. |

Working with spider veins takes time and patients. I had spider veins on my face several years ago and had IPL in the salon I worked in. They were totally gone after 5 treatments. Unfortunately, they gradually came back. I am thankful I did not pay for these treatments.
As far as applying the Vit P cream. This is my advice: Apply it after your shower or wash the area and apply (rub in gently) while your face or area is moist/warm (not wet). Personally, I would not layer product over it for at least an hour. If you are targeting those spider veins concentrate on them. You have to be faithful and apply twice a day. I do not have the Janson-Beckett Couperose Cream. I am just stating advice from what I learned in the salon in regards to application. Vitamin P is now the cream of choice for spider veins.
Since I have been using my skin care routine, which you all know, my spider veins are 85% gone on my cheeks and nose area. Why? I really don't know. What ever is in the products I use has helped my spider veins. I think I posted this a couple of months ago.
