Queenpedauque gave me this idea in another post. She says 'I like unusual products I have to admit and my skincare routine is half intuition' - me too Very Happy

I think the strangest thing I ever bought was a glycolic acid harvested from the trails of South American snails. Elicina with 80% extract 'Helix Aspera Muller' (snail trails). I wasn't particularly impressed with the claims about it, but it was still just a must-have item for the strangeness itself.

It only got used a couple of times on my face because the rest of the ingredients seemed a bit alarming and it's effect seemed no different to any other mild glycolic. Still - it was intriguing.

Anyone else have a liking for weirdness?

Molly, no surprise that since we both like unusual products that I've used the Elicna too & actually liked it. I didn't know it was a glycolic acd though. Interesting.
I'm sure that I've used a few I can't remember but the 2 that are a little strange that actually work are homemade..and actually very simple. Fresh wheatgrass juice on my face before I go to bed and I wake up with beautiful skin. The other is juicing a little bit of bean sprouts and putting the sprout juice on my face after I apply makeup and then during the day at intervals. I just need a teaspoon or 2 for the day. Sprouts like wheatgrass are very potent and full of vitamins & other great stuff but the bean sprouts don't give you a tinge of green skin and I think have wonderful things like catalase & SOD.
I've done alot of "creative things" but the malaysian fermented rice thing I made that I mentioned in the beauty secrets thread was from a recipe.
Psyllium seed husks for hair gel, flax seed compresses. The list goes on forever. Rolling Eyes
