for someone without problematic skin. Lately I use microfiber cloth when I remove makeup. When I'm not wearing makeup I wipe my skin with some apple cider vinegar toner at night, and sometimes in the morning, usually I just splash with water.
1 maybe 2x a week I'll do a sugar scrub or a diamond dust scrub or dry brush lightly. Never all three though.
I also want to start using the lowest % of RA and mixing with my lotion twice a week. So it will be very mild.
Would you say this is enough exfoliation and that I don't need an aha or bha? (except maybe as spot treatment on the occasional pimple) Will the retin-A and some slight manual exfoliation from the cloth or the scrub be enough? or when using RA is manual exfo. pointless? thanks. |

Sweets,
I don't know your age, amount of sun damage or how you are reacting to the RA. I will tell you my experience: I was alternating AHA and RA and it was waaaay too much. I looked good for about 2 weeks and then I looked terrible. I think the cloth and the scrub (twice a week I think) are alright if you're not having a reaction to that.
What are your skin care goals?

Considering you don't have problematic skin I agree with KatieKins that occasional use of scrub or cloth would be enough when using RA.
Spot treatment of the occasional pimple should be fine though. |

I am 23 and just wanting to take some preventative measures. It would also be easier if the RA takes care of all my exfoliation needs. When I get back to working everyday and wearing makeup daily, then perhaps removing my makeup with the cloth and then a weekly scrub would be enough.
thanks girls! |
