I hardly ever buy products from department store brands, with few exceptions. But still, I have to admit that Shiseido makes some lovely products, and when I get bored of my Decleor/Dermalogica routine, I often have an affair with Shiseido.
The things I really like from Shiseido, are:
*Distinguish mascara (the only one surviving my exercise routine, which involves a lot of sweating).
*Benefiance eyecream (best one there is!! for the driest skins)
*Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N (works magic!)
*Lipgloss (not sticky at all!) |

Just bought my 2nd tube from Shisiedo's Skin care line - Foam cleanser that I use when I'm in the shower and I do like it! I'm also using their mask Skin Care line.
I'm also fond of their fragrance called Zen. |

I didn't care for their skincare line at all. It clogged up my pores and gave me dry, flaky patches. It seemed a little perfumey too.
I never knew they had makeup and fragrance though...

There skincare line especially selling at the counters are just so-so only (either too sticky or too dry)... nothing fantastic. Foundation is too thick like a mask. Whereas drug store skincare line are much better with the quality and value (not sure if you can find them in America). The only thing i like is PN cosmetics. |

That's funny -- I never knew they made skincare!! I've tried their mascara (can't remember the exact product name) and some of their glossy lipsticks, but it was nothing I was so thrilled with that I'd ever try again.

You're talking about Shisedo's drugstore line, right? No, I don't think we can get it here in the U.S., although I've read a lot of raves about certain of the "cheapie" Shisedo products on MUA (can't recall the exact products there, either -- I'm not much good at names!), enough that I remember it made me wish that I could find some of those products at our local drugstores....

Carekate-That explains a lot. If America doesn't carry the drugstore line, Canada certainly doesn't!
The Shisedo skincare line that I tried was actually my Mom's products...I'm not sure where she bought them. You aren't missing out on much. They don't smell nice, feel nice, or make you look nice (in my skin's opinion!)

I've been using The Skincare line for quite a while now and love it. I use the nighttime lotion and the renewing serum; nightly and 3 days a week respectively.
I stopped using it for quite a while and tried other lines (dermalogica, yonka, MD formulations) but found none delivered better results so I went back to old faithful. I guess whatever works for your skin, works for your skin.
I liked the smell of the yonka products though. I may give them a go again..... |

I find Shiseido products contain mostly alcohol. They are not very good for skin. No luck for me. |
