What do you guys think is the best light moisturizer WITH spf for oily/combo skin? Currently using La Roche but it’s a little thick for everyday use and leaves a shine on the face. |

As far as I know, KIEHL'S U ltra Facial Moisturizer SPF15 and Japanese production of Nivea, are very light. |

Hi there Fawnie, is the tint yellowish or pink based? Also, does it provide much coverage at all? I noticed they have one for either dry or oily skin. Do u think the one for oily skin would be a bit too dry if my skin is combination? Do u apply concealer on top? Cuz in the past, I used a sunscreen with 10% Zinc Oxide without silicones and concealer on top would look kinda cakey. Sry for all the questions lol...Thanks! =) |

I like the Olay Complete with Spf 15. I am referring to the original formula that will be re-released again this May.
The original formula has zinc oxide 3% and octinate 6%.
I also like to apply this to my arms. I stocked up when they did a formula change so I still have some original formula left.
I also wrote to P & G and told them the new formula was not suitable for sensitive skin and did receive a reply. |

I do like the Olay Complete SPF30 for sensitive skin. It contains 7.5% Octinoxate & 6% Zinc Oxide. I like it but am concerned that UVA protection is not that great. I'm using La Roche Posay Hydraphase SPF30 now and found it might be slightly greasy for summer use. |

Neutrogena's Visibly Even daily moisturizer with SPF 30 is very good. (also inexpensive $14) It also helps to reduce blotchiness and dark spots.
It does not cause any increase in oiliness or shine. |

Juice Beauty's beauty's tinted moisturizer is nice and has a higher spf at 30, if i recall correctly.
on days where i don't really care about using a high SPF, i use a product from erzulie's that has a nice foundation that doubles as a moisturizer for me that has an spf of 20. this is an all natural product too:

I wear LIGHT and it's around NC20 or so, but is sheer so is quite forgiving. Could be used on NCor NW 10-25 without being whitish. The color is neither pink nor yellow but is neutral and doesn't really give any "color", just evens out tone slightly. I still wear a concealor on troublesome areas and scars.
This gives me enough coverage that I can feel OK about going out shopping, to the gym and even to work without additional foundation, but gives excellent sun protection and moisture for my normal skin. It comes in dry or normal/oily formulas.
Ingredients are:
No harmful chemicals, nanoparticles, parabens, fillers, waxes, or fragrances.
100% vegan
Active ingredient: zinc oxide, 24%
Camellia sinensis (green & white tea), zinc oxide, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil), Prunus armeniaca (apricot kernel oil), Limnanthes alba (meadowfoam seed oil) capric/caprylic triglycerides (fractionated coconut oil), Helianthus annuus (sunflower oil), potassium sorbate, vegetable glycerin, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Elaesis guineensis (red palm oil), Cosmocil CQ*, lecithin, Rubus idaeus (red raspberry seed oil), Hippophae rhamnoides (sea buckthorn oil), Lonicera japonica (honeysuckle) Rosemary oleoresin, xantham gum, Daucus carota (carrot seed) essential oil, Cistus incanus (cistus) essential oil, iron oxides
*Paraben-free anti-microbial agent
Fragrance is faintly cinnamon-like to me and fades quickly.
Customer service is excellent and she will send samples of her other products upon request with orders.
I don't sell, distribute, or am in any way affilitated with MVO, but I use it and I love it. HTH =) |
