I recently tried this deodorant because my mother had it. First of all, I don't really sweat much, so I figured a natural deodorant would work well enough. It didn't. This product smelled awful IMO. The smell reminded me of some kind of plant extracts, but nothing pleasant that I would actually want to smell like. That unpleasant smell lasted for a couple of hours. Then I just ended up smelling really sweaty (sorry, but it was gross). Like I had been at the gym all day and didn't have time to shower kind of sweaty.

I'm not really sure why this went so wrong. Maybe it was my application? I applied it under my arms while wearing a sleeveless dress, so I assume it didn't really rub off on my clothes (there weren't any marks either). I just didn't appreciate smelling so gross after a few hours of basically sitting at dinner. I've never had this problem with any other deodorant. Just didn't seem to be very effective for me.

I've been using this product for a few months because I needed to get away from the aluminum products. Frankly, it's far from perfect but better than a lot of the other natural deodorants. On an average day, it keeps persperation smell away for hours but it cannot keep you feeling dry. I just bought a product called Lavallin (might be spelling it wrong) that claims to be natural and work for a couple of days without reapplying...not sure that's a good thing but one day would be good. I'm willing to do what it takes to avoid the aluminum exposure.

Its a deodorant not an anti perspirant, you will continue to perspire using this.
