The self tanner I really like for face is Clarins Creme Delicieuse Auto-Bronzante (or Delicious Self Tanning Cream).
It has a slight smell of cocoa. I apply a very small amount and it has colour in it so you can see where you apply it. I can see results from one application. (I am quite fair). I do use it on my arms and legs also sometimes. It is the only self tanner I will use on my face. Very natural looking on me.
My skin is rather sensitive; but no problems with the Clarins. |

Makeupalley has reviews on Clarins products (including this one.)
Also if you buy and use it use and don't like it; don't hesitate to return it. Most department stores and Clarins is really good about returns.
I have picky skin and sometimes I have to return things. |

Thanks Autumn, Yes, I don't hesitate to return items I am not happy with. I always make sure I hang on to my receipt. Thats what I like about HSN, they give you 30 days to return things with no questions asked! Thanks again |

I've tried so many self tanners for the face and so far St.Tropez has been the most natural looking one. It also lasts the longest and doesn't make my skin break out. |

You can try jergens natural glow Moisturizer for the face. it works really well, and you can choose if you want it for fair, medium or dark skin. Then there is also BeautyBuzz Kit at TJ Max. This is about 6 dollars, and you get the lotion, bronzing compact, and bronzing stick. Its result is also nice. |

I use Pur Minerals "Get a Little" on my body and face (I don't use it on my face as often though) and haven't had any problems with breakouts or anything. I'm quite fair as well and the colour looks very natural and fades nicely too. |

My favorite for years was the Lancome Face self-tanner gel with Vit. E, but they don't seem to carry it anymore. I have been using Clarins but I am not that crazy about it, too dry and it gets the peelies sometimes when I apply makeup over it. |

Hi Gloria:
Last week I purchased the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for Face and Décolleté based on recommendations from this forum. I haven't tried it yet, just waiting to find a good 2-3 day span to try it out where I don't have to go to work or be somewhere. I have had too many of those "oops moments" when trying a new product for the first time such as a self-tanner or at-home face peel . |

I took advantage of the long weekend (July 4) and I tried the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for Face and Décolleté. The product is white like a lotion and I used a minimal amount and used disposable gloves while applying I applied it all over the face up to the hairline, worked around my eyebrows, and did my ears, did my eyelids and down my neck to my chest area. It looks very nice and natural and 1 application is good enough for a fair-skinned person. I used the Jergens Natural Glow Foaming Daily Moisturizer (sunless tanner - fair to medium formula) on my body. I used it 2 days in a row, 1 application each day. I have nice color, dries quickly because it is a mousse, no streaks. I am very happy with the color. Although Jergens still has that chemical smell once it starts kicking in, but not as bad as it was yeas ago when it first came out. Came into office today and everyone is asking me about my nice tan! LOL! |

I really like Nuxe products and just bought their self tanning lotion. Better than Clarins I think. I hated Jergens, it smells horrible. |

I'm so glad you liked the Clarins, Mysty! Must admit that I don't bother with gloves for the application, as it seems to wash off my hands easily enough - although, obviously, you must make sure that you don't leave it on your hands too long before washing.
It really does give a lovely, natural glow.

I use Omorovicza "Glam Glow" self tanning lotion. It's for face and body. It gives me a natural looking tan. I have an oily skin but I never had any problem with breakouts. It smells good nice, too. |

I love Teracotta Sunless from Guerlain!
It gives a really nice and even glow, smells good and even when I peel a bit (due to Obagi) it doens't leave my skin with an uneven color. |

Well, it's been about 4 days since I applied the Clarins and Jergens self-tanners. I still have quite a bit of color. I am thinking of trying a brand new bottle of the St. Tropez self-tanner that I have from last year, that I never used. I might test this product out on my legs in the next few days. |

i agree with the recommendation for Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning for Face and Décolleté. it is a great face self tanner. i am very pale and you can use a little for a subtle color or more for a more intense color. I really like that it is tinted and you can be instantly bronzed. that way when you put your make up on it will still match in a few hours when the color developes |

The Clarins Liquid Bronze Self tannin for face is quite good also. You might try to look for some other recommendations for tanning lotions and others. |
