I'm supposed to be getting a silkpeel this week and I wanted to know if it's worth it or should I just stick with regular microdermabrasion. So has anyone ever done this and how did you like it? |

Also which is the best microdermabrasion to have performed? I go to to the spa and the they use like some kind of a spinbrush but at this other place uses a small skinny wand and is more expensive.
The spa that uses the spinbrush charges me $65 and that includes a facial also. THe other place charges $140 with facial. |

I was kind of curious about this a few months ago, so tried to find out more about it.
I think the "real" microdermabrasion is when they use the wand with the crystals and the wand sucks in the "dead" skin particles.
The spinning brush I think is kind of like the home dermabrasion kits you see? or maybe it is a better quality spin brush?
I was kind of interested in dermabrasion, as I want to have more even skin tone and get rid of a few minor scars, but I think I'm just going to keep on using the items have here for a while longer as that seems be be helping me.
I was also told by a doctor that if your skin still breaks out easily that you should avoid any of those treatments as you can get some scarring if you get new blemishes.
So if my skin settles down I might try one day. |

I have had a Silkpeel. It was fun but felt more "spa" ish than a serious skin renewing technique. My skin didn't look any different afterwards but was good to begin with. Perhaps the pores were a little bit smaller (?) |
