A few months ago I finally started a skin routine that involved more than just slapping some cream on my face in the morning and night. I'm using some cream with glycolic acid, vitamin C, and a cream with retinol. I've also been taking supplements.
My skin definitely looks better, dullness is gone, but I still have several seedy like whiteheads on my cheek area that just won't go away. I do exfoliate. Is there anything that will get rid of these?

I'm sure this isn't the best advice, but if it were me and they appeared to be really ready, I'd gently squeeze them out. If a gentle squeeze didn't produce results, I'd stop before I did any damage.

If you are going to squeeze something, sterlize a needle and poke a small hole in it first. That helps keep the skin from tearing when the gook makes its exit.

They are pretty far under the skin. I have tried to squeeze and even pick out with a needle, but they just get red and irritated. Is there something to get them to come closer to the surface?

I would increase the glycolic acid. I started using Revison Skincare Glycolic Acid 20% and eliminated some milia within a week. Shock

They discontinued the 20% product, though you can still get it on ebay for about $15-$17.

Instead they now have a 15% and a 25% formula called Revision Skincare Skin Resurfacer 15%, but it is difficult to find online with pricing posted.

Just curious, are these whiteheads raised? or are they flat and just there under the surface of the skin?

I have been dry skin brushing my face daily for about six weeks now. The raised whiteheads that were on my chin area are no longer there. I also have that under the skin white flat thing. I don't know what it is, kinda looks like fat, but it is half the size now.

It is a leave on. If I use it every day, I do experience some irritation within a couple of days, primarily around my eyes. I checked the pH and it is definitely in the acid range, but I have not had peelies at all.

It does work though, as evidenced by my milia disappearing in a week.

I think I know what you have Smile

Are there many like these on your face?
If you have lots, then, you better see a dermatologist on these.

Dermatologist can actually remove them and it won't leave scars.

I would not use my hands to squeeze them out, some of these are very hard to get rid of and they keep on coming back if not properly taken out and if you do it yoursel, you may damage your skin.

Also, try using liquid cleanser soap on your face. Don't use bar soaps.....

I hope this helps Smile

I just had a thought...do you use mineral make up by chance?

No mineral makeup. I am two weeks post-op on an u/l bleph job. When I went for a follow the nurse prac. seems to think Retin A may help with problem. I have another follow-up next week and I'm going to pick up some and start using. Hoping to see an overall change. I have large pores on my cheek area.
