Hello,
I'm a 20 year old with wrinkles across my forehead.
I never smoke
I never sunbathe
I never go out when it's sun without SPF 40+
So we can rule those out as causes.
The only thing that can be cause is facial expression.
I tried to upload a picture but "new members aren't allowed to post links".
they are basically superficial but very prominent...
I can easily feel them when I run my fingers over my forehead...
I can't look like I'm 40 at 20, please what can I do to get rid of them? |

Chances are they are from repatative movement and the only treatment that can help with that is Botox. You could try to train yourself not to raise your eyebrows without Botox, and while not the easiest thing to acclomplish it can be done. |

Could it be your sleeping position? Genetics?
I suggest using frownies (or surgical tape! cheaper) on your forehead to help you assess when you are making the wrinkling motion. You could use them when going to bed and/or when alone during the day.
You may also want to get a sleep pillow.
Try facial exercises and if all else fails try botox to help decrease your tendency toward wrinkling your forehead up. This may be a valuable preventive measure for you Copeful. Best of luck. |

Thanks...
Well, I've worked on stopping raising my eyebrows.
However could something like retin a get rid of the wrinkles that are there already? |

I have always had serious wrinkles and dark circles under my eyes. I've recently been introduced to a spa machine that is the size of my hand. The spa machine can be used with many creams and gels, but there's one that is a "line corrector" from the same company, and it's the best product i've used too date. I have seen a noticeable improvement in my wrinkles, my goal is to keep using until they're totally gone! |

Well,
not sure if anything is "permanent" but I was given samples of Dior capture cream and the serum and it seemed to smooth out the frown lines I had that were much worse.
I'd say that gave a 50% improvement for me.
I just use capture products a few times a week now.
But I also tried Neostrata wrinkle repair as it sounded so good and was fragrance free...and more affordable (well actually I only bought Dior capture cream once,lol...I used to get so many of the miniatures when buying nail polish
But now I am down to the last of my samples..so am trying other things to see if they work.
Kinerase serum seems to work quite well and gives a plumping effect.
I have the pro+therapy one, but the regular serum might be good too...
I just also received a sample of Bioelements 10x gel and that gives a good plumpting effect and is a ok price..and fragrance free.
That is going to be my next buy from here..it is great for dry eye area too
These are the products that seem to work best on me so far...I'm 33 and have no other wrinles other than the "frown lines" that are quite minimised.
I have not found anything to entirely remove them yet.
I just got a few samples of Derma pro gel tox and that seems nice too and helps bit too.
anyways,good luck! |

You know at 20 your not going to be dealing with the same things as us 50, or 60 year olds, but for them to start showing up now I'd be asking my doctor to make sure there is nothing untoward going on. For wrinkles to start appearing, we know the tissue there has to be damaged to a particular degree and this can be partially genetics (does your mother/father have wrinkled faces also?).
Whilst facial expression certainly can help lines stay in place, its also got to do with stress levels and for me diet which is crucial.
I would also suggest that you do little massages, and take a look at Tanaka thread as thats a massage that you can read up and see a video demo of for free on the internet too.

Scotch Gift Wrap Tape works well too and is virtually invisable. |

Hello!
It can probably be "hereditary or in your genes".
As we grow older and wiser, we can not really get rid of wrinkles totally, but we can help diminish those lines.
It so happen, it started at your age now.
Try also to avoid making facial expressions, this is also a cause of your wrinkles.
I would not suggest putting a tape on your forehead when you sleep. However, I would recommend that after cleaning your face with a liquid facial wash, that you don't dry your face with face towel, but immediately put some moisturizer of choice for your face or skin.
There are many products at EDS that can minimize those wrinkles.
Drink lots of water and eat well with healthy food, fish is good.
WEAR PROTECTIVE SUNSCREENS ALL THE TIME.
