Until a week or so ago, I had "regular" eyelids - or at least as regular as they can be for a middle aged woman with a little loose skin.
For the past week or so, my upper lids are now "hooded" and literally sitting on my upper lashes.
Two probable causes:
(1) I had permanent eyeliner applied a week ago last Monday. It seems to still be healing, but still, hard to believe the swelling would last this long (?0
(2) I recently began a hormone replacement therapy regimen which is causing me significant breast pain and water retention and perhaps the "hoodedness" is puffy eyes from water retention.
Anyone else ever have this and how was it resolved? I want my eyes back!
Thanks, BF |

Hi BF - I tend to believe that this is temporary because it's happened to me also. I've had perm. eyeliner done for years, touch-ups annually, and it does cause temporary hooding. But if you think the water retention & hormones are contributing, try dandelion tea or dandelion supplement and see if that flushes away the excess water - this works for me. |

I also started HRT treatment and I'm starting to look heavy I did not know hormone replacement make you retain water.
Anyway, for natural remedies that are supposed to work for water retention and I know because I once had liposuction and was bloated as a balloon for months is pineapple, which contains bromelain. People say the fruit pieces are better, but I tried the juice and it worked for me. Also, water with juice lemon, lots of water. |

The benefit of dandelion is that it eliminates excess fluid on the outside of your cells but not the essential fluid inside the cells - many diuretics eliminate both, not good. |
