Hello,
This is my first post and I'm hoping you can help me out with a few questions. I am turning 35 next week and just recently decided to get serious about a skincare routine. I have fair skin and it's sensitive so I have to be careful what I use (can't even use sunscreen! I break out into itchy little bumpy patches on my skin)
Well I've been experimenting with products and here's my current skincare routine. I'd appreciate any feedback or advice.
My goal is to keep my skin healthy and wrinkle free for as long as I can.
AM
Clean with Body Shop Vitamin C Polishing Cleanser or Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleaning Cleanser.
Lancaster 365 Elixer
Prevage anti aging serum or
Roc Intensive Serum
Roc Hydra+ 24hr comfort cream
PM
same cleansers as above
Lancaster 365 elixer
Olay Pro X eye restoration complex
Lancaster Retinology or Prevage
Roc Intensive Serum
Roc Retin-Ox night cream
My skin seems to be really liking this combo. The retin a is doing wonders for my skin and my skin is loving the 365 Elixer and Prevage. I just started using the Lancaster Retinology so I'm not sure yet but it seems to be working well with the other products.
I'm worried I'm using too many things though. Although my skin seems fine with it (surprising since it's so sensitive and tempermental usually) but I want to be sure I'm doing it right to maximize results from the products. Is it ok to use all this? Also I've been considering the Clarisonic Pro. Is it a good investment? One more question (last one promise I've read that doing a peel could really help my skin, can you let me know what brands are the best? How often should I do it? I do a clay mask once a week but think a peel could help. Should I wait til fall or winter to do it? I would REALLY appreciate feedback from you pros!! I'm a total newbie and kind of confused about how best to utilize my products for my skin care regimen. Many thanks!! |

Hi moonshyne,
Everyone wants to have smooth skin and Beautiful Feet.beauty and personal care items are a major part of the labeling industry.every woman wants to look beautiful and works hard to reach her full potential. The facial skin is more delicate than the skin on the other parts of the body and needs tender cleansing which the face wash offer.so there are different types of face wash for different skin types. |

I think if your skin is liking that combo of products and is looking good, just continue on what you are using. However, you need to use a sunscreen. Otherwise, all of this is for nothing. The sun will age you more than anything. |

Thanks for the replies, I know I should be using a sunscreen but the thing is I have yet to find one that doesn't make me develop bumpy itchy patches of skin and break me out like crazy. Any suggestions?? Maybe I'll post a new question and find out if anyone who reacts as badly as I do to SS can recommend anything. |

I'm not familiar with the ingredients in your morning serums. If they don't have vitamin C, I would add in a vitamin C serum. Maybe substitute it for one of the others? And since your skin is sensitive, you could start with every other day for the vitamin C.
And sunscreen as rileygirl mentions. If you react to SS, you may want to try a physical sunscreen instead of a chemical one. You may get less of a reaction. Physical sunscreens use zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide as the active ingredient. There are many good ones out there, I've tried Blue Lizard Sensitive, Badger (kinda greasy) and Marie Veronique (excellent, but expensive) with good results. But, I don't have sensitive skin. Maybe start with some sample sizes if you can. Or how about mineral makeup? That gives you sunscreen protection too. |

Have you tried a zinc sunscreen? They usually are very tolerated by people with sensitive skin. Sunscreens can be so tricky, so I do understand! |
