Its a buffer so how is this any different then just mixing retin-a with a moisturizer? I'm thinking its not any different, your thoughts?

Also is the Obagi retin-a cream really a different formula?

The regular Blender has hydroquinone in it. Also, whatever is in it helps with penetration of the tretinoin.

I don't think the Obagi brand tretinoin is any better than the generic or any other brand for that matter. You should, however, use the cream, not the gel.

They do make a Blender that doesn't have the HQ in it but still helps with penetration.

Does anyone know if the blender (w/4%hq) is considered an rx product? I'm not going to use the tube I was "talked" into buying and was going to list it on ebay but when I searched to see what kind of price they are going for I noticed there are not any of these for sale on ebay.

No problem. Years ago I tried to sell the Clear and someone reported me! That is how I learned that you can't sell the "rx" products on ebay. Laughing

Laughing well that stinks. I will of course play by the rules. But you would think the actual product itself would state its a prescription. I don't know if it normally comes in a box but mine didn't and it doesn't even say on the tube whats in it. I wasn't told what is really in it was when I got it. I usually know better but I fell under the spell of the person selling it to me Bad Grin

I have seen Obagi products posted on Craiglist.

I have also seen Obagi products with HQ in them on ebay given as a 'bonus' or 'gift with purchase'. The bonus or GWP is not disclosed in the listing as to what it is (for obvious reasons), but when I inquired it was the HQ products.

Not endorsing any of this, just giving you an FYI.
