Last May we have been so lucky to have beautiful weather and we went camping. Black flies loved us and I was able to tolerate it. Unfortunately, I also had an allergic reaction and took allergy pills to help with the swelling and itch.
Bite marks on my face, neck has healed with no scar markings. But on my ankles and one bite on the centre of my stomach has not completely healed. The scar is still there. I've used my most favorite body scrub, Fake Bake body polish in hope to help speed up the skin cell turnover. I've been careful to protect my skin from the sun so it would not damage my skin any further.
I'm running out of ideas to remove the scar bites. BTW, my dermatologist saw them and was interested in my adventures up North and said it should be gone in a month.
What else can I do? |

You could try pure Vitamin E Oil. |

I will give that a try today. How long do you think it will take to notice a difference? |

I have no idea - but plastic surgeons recommend using Vitamin E Oil on scars. |

I just had another idea, depending on the scar, you could also try a product called scar guard or scar guard lightener. Its a liquid silicone product that works pretty well for scars. |

I had similar experience, got bitten by a bug in Bali and have very ugly scar all over my right hand. Besides using handcream, I wait for them to fade, it has been 2 years but still got some light brown mark on my hand. |

I got absolutely eaten by fleas during the last flea season. I had over 100 bites on each foot and there were so many bites that my body had an allergic reaction to it.
It has been over 6 months and I still have scars. The only thing that worked was steroid cream that I had to get from the doctor. They gave my a weak-medium one that was for large areas (ankles, calves, thigh and abdomen) and it kinda worked. Then I got a stronger one and that worked much better. Only thing with steroid creams is that you can't use them for long and you need to follow the instructions very closely.
I used it for 2 weeks and gave it a rest, I revisit the area with the steroid cream every few months.
I still have scars but they have faded to about 10% of what they were.
I tried vitamin E, tea tree oils, calendula and hypericum cream. They didn't really do much but smelt nice. |
