i for some reason am fascinated by that show and how they totally change these ladies in 3 short months. but what amazes me the most is their reactions when they see themselves for the first time after their makeovers. if that were me i think i would have to kick off those heels and do some sorta crazy screaming jig at least. some of those ladies are like "wow" and "i'm so pretty now" and don't even freak out at all. i think they should put the before pictures right next to the mirrors so they can get the full before/after impact like we do from watching it on tv. these reality tv shows are so addicting though this is the only one i watch Rolling Eyes

I turned it on once and was so grossed out by the lady's teeth I had to change the channel. I was close to vomitting!!

My daughter, husband and I watch the swan. We get it on a Thursday night. It does gross me out but I also love the transformations. I turn away from the surgery bits but I am very squemish. I would love to be brave enough to undergo that kind of radical surgery. Most of them look fantastic after. This week for us it is going to be the paegent. Popcorn will be ready for munching on.

We love watching "The Swan" too, but my hubby says he feels that show is somehow costing him more money! Laughing

I have to admit those Eye blephs are a huge transformation by themselves (which is what I'd like to get)!

The stylists must seriously have some kind of transvestite/drag queen fetish, because all the "improved" women end up looking like drag queens to me, complete with too heavy makeup, too blonde hair, too big boobs, too tight dresses.

Besides, I don't like the idea of cosmetic surgery in the first place. I think that people who consider it seriously would probably benefit more from talking to a psychiatrist...But that's MY private opinion.

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with cosmetic surgery unless it's an obsession and the person thinks it will transform their life into paradise. I, for one, have a great life and am not looking to replace it. I have considered having a nip or tuck to my eyes (hereditary bags) and won't be shy in doing so when I feel my bags keep me from looking as young as I feel.

However, I have felt moments of utopia that only comes from a soul at peace from yet another purchase of black slacks that make me appear slimmer, so I might need to look into therapy after all! Wink

I don't watch every show, but have seen a few of them and have to agree with Nemi, that they all look too Barbie-like after their surgery. Its going to be a tough choice picking The Swan, since they all look the same Very Happy

I think they make them look a cross between the girl who presents the show and the woman who I think is the physciatrist(misspelt, sorry) Rolling Eyes and they give them all the same hair long, brown and highlighted. That said I still have a morbid fascination with the show.
