DOes anyone know if MSM is ok to take with prescription drugs? I want my dad to start taking it, but he is taking all sorts of medicine for his heart, blood pressure etc... I know MSM is not supposed to interfere with prescription drugs but am thinking of the detox effects..

Anyone with any experience of this?

On WebMD is an overview and at the top are tabs for both side effects and interactions you should find answers there.

I would also talk with his pharmacist. They usually know if something is going to interfere with meds. Things like Pineapple should not be taken with certain heart meds. So, it's not impossible that something so seemingly harmless could create a bad situation!

thanks - Ive been trying to read around on this as much as possible, will check out the links. I want to talk to his dr about it, but I don't think drs always hold a great opinion or are even that informed on supplements, and he will just advise against it. I will err on the side of caution anyway!

Also, does anyone combine their supplements? I take msm, psyllium husks as well as biosil, and they all have to be taken in juice - I don't really want to drink that much juice. Can I just throw it all together in one drink, and also knock back my multivit, and viviscal at the same time?
