| I ordered Cellex-C High Potency serum & the Eye Contour Gel online & they just arrived. The serum is amber & the eye gel is darker amber. Both have expiration dates on the packaging of 05/2011 & neither smells bad but the color concerns me. I understand it's oxidation that causes the change in color but have read conflicting things as to whether it's still ok to use. Any insight is much appreciated! |

In general, products that contain significant amounts of "tyrosine" will reflect an *amberish/yellow* color. You're serum has it following the LAA on the ingredient list, so my guess is it's significant enough to cause the deeper color. Here's the list in case it helps;
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Ascorbic Acid, Acetyl Tyrosine, Zinc Sulfate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Bioflavanoids.
Other than that, the ingredients in the product are great, so I wouldn't be too concerned since your expiration date is 5/11.
BUT, with that said regarding the expiration date, if I were you I'd pitch it 3 months after opening.
