Unless you are allergic to the active ingredients in neosporin, you are most likely going to have more negative side effects from the Retin A. I've not heard of anyone using retin-a to reduce side effects of neosporin. I've only seen it the other way around where people use neosporin to help alleviate some of the side effects of the retin-a.

I agree, also based on this ingredient list the OTC Neosporin has no steroid only antibiotics in the base ointment?

Neosporin (from Neo, (Greek) new + Sporos, (Greek) seed) is the product name of an antibiotic ointment produced by Pfizer (later sold to Johnson & Johnson) used in the prevention of infection and speeding the healing of wounds. The original ointment contains three different antibiotics: bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B, in a petroleum jelly base.
