I have been considering on if I should purchase the Baby Quasar.I want to get thoughts on if the device would work on my facial issues from users who have experienced the device.Please share your opinion on if the device is worth the purchase as well.Thanks.
1.Would the device work on visible blood vessels/broken capillaries?I have visible blood vessels on my forehead,but it is not acne rocasea.
2.Does it work for dark circles?I also have visible blood vessels under the eye area which gives that dark circles appearance.
2.Does the Baby Quasar work on darkened spots left from pimples/acne? |

Ha, I wish. But after 4 years for me, it worked on none of those. Just plumping up the skin and evening out the skin tone, that's it. I'd love to have my money instead of this gadget.
Go to the DIY forum and read the Quasar and baby Q thread's. This has been asked many times and then you can also get opinions from others. |

The only treatment that has worked on the broken caps and spots has been an IPL. I have had 6 full and 3-4 partials throughout 7 years of having them done. I love them and think it is the best treatment for your money. I have tried Fraxels and CO2 lasers, which did nothing for my skin except cause stretching and sagging.
I can't address the dark circles, as that is not something I have had to deal with, sorry. I do not know if ipls help with those. |

I'm with Annie I would try the IPL for broken caps.
As for dark circles I wish I could answer that question. I haven't found the solution that works for me. There are some other threads about dark circles that might help you.
For acne marks I would try something with retinol. Like this product: http://www.skinstore.com/p-635-afirm-1x.aspx
You could also try Retin-A but I recommend you try retinol and work your way up to Retin-A.

I love it when I first got it, I believe everyone got good result in the fist few months. But I did not see any difference after 2 months. It did plump up a bit (last for a while) and even the skin tone, and I'm not sure if it is actually my imagination.
I let my mom uses it, it works nothing for her.
I want my money back too. |

I agree with AnnieR - the only effective treatment for broken caps is IPL.
As for the effectiveness of LED devices, I have both the Baby Q and a Lightstim (I prefer the Lightstim). But I have never seen any immediate visible results with either. I believe that any skincare gadget needs to be used long term to see any results - they require dedicated use. New collagen and elastin doesn't form in an instant - this happens over several months - and, of course, the older you are, the more you have to repair.
At 60, my skin is in reasonable shape - I have to credit the regular use of gadgets for this but as I said, I'm very skeptical of people who claim instantaneous improvement. |
