I use to have firm, nicely toned arms but being middle aged my arms are horrid. I jog and eat right and I have lost weight but I am totally embarrassed by my underarm flab. I am looking for some exercises that will help tone and firm that area so that I will not mind wearing sleeveless tops. Thanks |

If there is fat, it can be hard to expose any muscle you may develop...
But here you go:
Push ups are good.
Dips, kick backs, skull crushers, close grip bench press, overhead tricep press.
Also, when you walk, put your arms in a running position, and opposite leg to arm, jut your elbow back. This will also work your back, but your triceps get a workout too! |

The Callanetics tricep and inner-thigh exercises are the best!
Seated arm extensions do a good job too for toning the back of your arms:
Sit down, with your legs extended straight in front of you and your hands at your sides, palms on the floor. Now, push your upper body up until your arms are extended -- hold for 5 seconds or more. This is an excellent isolation exercise for toning. |

I agree! Pushups are the way to go. Tones the whole arm. Takes time, like several months but be patient. Also check out bodyrock.tv. |

Push ups! I also do an exercise with my stability ball, I lift it up over my head and slowly lower it behind my head, repeat....talk about burn on your triceps.
Anyone here have any feedback on the shake weight? |
